Position Details
SUMMARY
Leads and accountable for Business Development Customers within Omni Channel ($20MM+)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding our brand through assigned channels.
• Use best efforts to promote the Serta and Simmons brands.
• Ability to capture deep insight and understanding of your account's "go to market strategy"
• Communicate account strategy to executive leadership, Lic., sales org. and supporting dept.
• Strategic vision and planning to meet or exceed revenue and EBITDA goals for the company.
• Partner with operations to have best in class performance/service.
• Identify ways to maximize revenue and/or EBITDA with short lead times.
• Work with finance and sales ops to prepare and maintain budgets and forecasting.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and P&L.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by each member of your team.
• Report and share information "upon request" with the board
• If needed, identify and lead new business opportunities.
• Ensure highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
• Evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
• Ensure customer facing issues are resolved or addressed by the "sun down rule".
• When approaching and interacting with our customers, embrace the philosophy that "our customers are the center of everything we do". Act as an ally, not an advisor.
• Manage expenses, subsidy, Serta, Inc. reserves and gross margin to maximize profit potential
• Ensure "top to top" meeting happen every quarter to maximize opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a healthy work environment for your team and teammates.
• Establishing ROI measurements and targets. Work on improving ROI targets
• Ability to breakdown silos (internally or externally) to create a unified vision
• Work with, lead and Develop direct reports -- working with them to grow into larger roles with the company -- teaching the SSB Way
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
• 10+ years consumer product sales experience
• 5+ years experience in bedding sales and distribution
• Experience leading cross functional teams
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Up to 50% travel
• Work is primarily sedentary in nature
• Frequent overnight travel and holiday and weekend hours
• Up to 20% of time spent in retail store service and training
