Description
Manages Sr Sourcing and Associate Sourcing Manager roles. Responsible for establishing and achieving their performance goals.
Works closely with Region President Staff and has a dotted line responsibility to the Region VP of Merchandising.
Ensures all cross functional groups collaborate effectively and efficiently. Drives Cultural beliefs within Region and Center Produce staff that supports the Region they represent.
Establishes and maintains close collaborative relationships with Region, Area and Market executive leadership, serving as a partner on mutually aligned goals and subject matter expert and on all components of the Produce P&L for that region.
Provides ultimate oversight of the Produce Managers / Leads and Buyers within the Center Replenishment team for their Region. Will also be responsible for Category specific modifications as it relates to that Regions overall Produce business.
Works daily with the Center Produce buying team and Logistics leaders to assure on time delivery targets are met along with service levels and achievement of freight savings goals.
Analyzes performance, national and market metrics, etc. on a routine and ad hoc basis - identifying trends, opportunities and obstacles to success.
Works closely with the Produce Category Operations Manager (PCOM) in the Areas and Markets, within the assigned region, to assure sales and margin growth targets are achieved.
Supports local assortment decisions and ultimately has decision rights on the region and local suppliers that are used.
Ownership for employee development and performance management (recruitment, interviewing, hiring, terminations, performance reviews, professional development).
Conducts quarterly business reviews with Region and local Produce Suppliers/Brokers as needed and supports the Center on National suppliers as well.
Conducts quarterly business reviews with Area and Market staff discuss performance, review issues and develop resolution strategies.
Qualifications
Education/Training:Four-year degree required
Related Experience:Must possess 8-10 years of Management at a Leadership level within Perishable categories; project management and training facilitation. Experience in managing a P&L and replenishment management in the foodservice or retail environment preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - especially Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook. Must be extremely organized, analytical and possess highly developed written/oral communication, management, training and interpersonal skills.
