Position Summary:
The Director is responsible for growing the Samsung Market Share & Revenue within ~190 named accounts in the Financial Services Industry.
Direct leadership over 6-8 (sr) Key Account Managers. Responsible for hiring, training & performance management.
The Director is responsible for the definition & execution of the account strategy across the Samsung portfolio and inclusive of and client end user strategy as well as a channel / B2B2C strategy in collaboration with the Business Development lead(s).
The Director will develop and drive a customer specific end user strategy that will grow market share in close collaboration and joint execution with the carrier partners and carrier teams.
The Director will support the customer experience & relationship & service management across all client relationship (Lines of business, C-Suite & CEO & operations) in close collaboration and through clear strategic directions with our carriers, alliance partners, business partners, distributors.
The Director will provide leadership and expertise in identifying, developing, progressing, negotiating and closing large deals and business development opportunities.
The Director is part of the Vertical Management team and is integral part (when required) of executive briefings either in subsidiary or for HQ.
Role and Responsibilities
Key activities:
• Leads the development of the overall team plan and has primary responsibility for identifying and prioritizing client’s business goals, financial position and competitive ecosystem, to grow Samsung’s Revenue.
• Owns multiple pillars / projects of the overall vertical strategy.
• Integrates Samsung’s lines of business to provide customized solutions aligned to client need.
• Works iteratively to develop and execute a relationship plan, by also leveraging social technology, to address customer’s lines of business, C-Suite including the CEO.
• Uses industry / domain skills to build business relationships with senior client executives, earning a reputation as one of the customer’s trusted business advisors.
• Leveraging other subject matter experts, executives, and thought-leaders as needed to provide value to the client.
• Creates and leverages innovative partnerships to sell to the clients end users.
• Delivers management reporting and detailed forecast both quarterly as 6-12 month outlook.
• This customer facing role involves travel to and from the customer, depending on your location this could be up to 25%/30% of your time.
Experience Required:
• Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of directly related experience is required.
• Prior experience managing a sales team, selling at C Level and Peer level account planning
• Proven ability to successfully develop and own a global enterprise customer relationship and account management process
• Understanding of solution selling – specifically around the Knox suite of services
• Prior experience developing and managing mobile services and support strategies required.
• Prior experience in a telecommunications environment required, with specific focus on Mobile device services and support (smartphones and tablets).
• Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with internal peer groups and external customers and partners
• Proven ability to successfully execute a global customer management process
• Executive presence and experience to leverage resources based on both influence and authority
• Proven contract negotiation and enterprise-level sales experience
• Ability to identify service and support risks and associated solutions within wireless product technologies.
• Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present, and explain wireless terminals technical product and development materials.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of Windows presentation software in a wireless network environment.
• Must have demonstrated project and program management skills
• Must be diligent, accurate with management reporting, must have a strong handle on managing datasets (like market share analysis, pipeline, revenue)

Physical /Mental Demands & Condition
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
