Job Overview

Media Director, Marketing is responsible for defining media strategies and building the national media plan for the full portfolio of brands at KDP. The Media Director serves as the internal media expert for KDP. This person will manage a team of at least 4 managers in multiple locations and will report into the VP of Media. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive media experience either client or agency side, and a leadership style that fuses inspiration with a passion for making a difference.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead Holistic Media Approach
◦ Lead a team to develop, execute and report on brand-focused media projects across national media, including: media insight development, media strategy, media trends analysis, measurement plan recommendation, digital & broadcast media buying & planning, social media and emerging media opportunities and reporting of plan performance.
◦ Work closely with KDP internal teams and media agency to drive integrated planning process

◦ Deploy general manager mindset to drive media approach and position us for success. Leverage strong commercial knowledge and financial acumen to deliver annual plan.
◦ Build a high-performing team by delivering clear strategies, hiring top talent, and delivering strong coaching through situational leadership and candid growth conversations.

• Build a Sustainable Growth Strategy
◦ Lead development of a long-term media portfolio strategy across all of our brands to deliver long-term portfolio vision and AOP commitments.
◦ Integrate pricing analyses, category optimization work, assortment mix analyses, etc. to inform portfolio recommendations.
• Innovate to Address Consumer Needs
◦ Utilize an innovation mindset to constantly challenge the approach to media and innovate, optimize and change plans to more effectively reach consumers.
◦ Build a test and learn approach to determine where it makes sense to pivot our
• Drive Consumer Engagement Through Communication Strategy & Messaging
◦ Inform final media strategy by working with cross-functional partners in Brand and Content to drive consumer communications.
◦ Lead significant, high visibility media initiatives, including strategy development and execution.
• Champion Our Media Plans and Drive Alignment Across the Organization
• Drive alignment behind media strategy & investment with CMO and key brand stakeholders
• Responsible driving integration and alignment with cross-functional partners including:
◦ Cross-portfolio sharing of data and media foundational knowledge with brand, consumer insights, content and programmatic teams.
◦ Marketing lead for all media briefings across the breadth of brands at KDP.
◦ Influence and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in to media approach and strong overall execution.
• Measure Success
◦ Set high performance standards, measure for success, and adjust plan to deliver against growth agenda.
◦ Responsible for scorecards inclusive of portfolio analysis and metrics as well as, standardization of media metrics
◦ Partner with brand teams to track/support execution of portfolio strategy on an ongoing basis, including execution of sub-strategies.
◦ Coordinate with analytics team and agencies to ensure correct reporting and dashboarding for all media initiatives.
◦ Work with media finance to lead portfolio budget consolidation

Requirements
• Must have a bachelors degree
• 10 years of media planning and buyingexperience either client or agency side, 5 years of which working with large (Fortune 500) CPG advertisers.
• Demonstrated understanding of all forms of media both traditional, digital and emerging.
• Strong project and people management skills
• This role is based at the KDP Plano, TX office location
