Job Overview
The Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) Team Director of Operations for Walmart will lead the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) execution and assessment of the entire brand portfolio. The Director will serve as a key member of the KDP Walmart leadership team who contributes to the overall strategic direction of KDP brands and team members.
This role demands a results-orientated, collaborative thinker with strong business planning and strategic selling, as well as excellent communication skills. Ultimately, this leadership role owns team results on volume, revenue and profit by owning the connection point between the national accounts team and the DSD route to market partners.
Primary responsibilities will include team/people leadership, account and revenue planning, tactical oversight of the execution plan, analysis and assessment of field results, in addition to co-ownership of the annual financial targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team comprised of two components:
National Account Executives – Support distinct Routes to Market (RTM). Ensure connectivity with RTM Leadership and provide a voice of our Distributors to the Walmart Sales Team. Primary responsibility is to ensure bottler alignment and execution of national KDP Walmart programs
Operations Analytics Managers- Responsibility for Service Execution reporting and creating data driven solutions for the team and the organization
Initiate and lead cross-functional projects to improve execution
Influence leaders throughout KDP to meet corporate goals and objectives
Develop short and long term strategic growth plans for Walmart in coordination with sales and category management teams to address account needs
Overall office-wide leadership above and beyond direct reports
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
High level of business and financial acumen
Strong business planning and strategic/conceptual selling skills
Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Customer management experience to include knowledge of basic marketing analysis and familiarity with national account strategies/programs
Ability to travel when necessary – approximately 30%
BS/BA degree and a minimum 10 years of experience, Master’s Degree and minimum 10 years of experience, in sales or a related function
Strongly prefer Walmart and/or Sam’s experience, or experience in another “Fortune 500” company within the Consumer Packaged Goods, Beverage or related industries
Minimum 5 years of sales/bottler operations and DSD experience
Experience successfully developing sales plans and executing via an effective sales strategy
Demonstrated success in launching and selling products to retail channels
Must be completely PC proficient, able to develop his/her own oral and visual presentations, spreadsheets and general correspondence
Demonstrated leadership skills, exhibiting a high degree of drive and energy and the ability to consistently produce results
Honest, strong ethics and personal integrity
Well organized, disciplined planner and implementer
Thinks strategically and has strong negotiation skills
