Job Overview
As the Director, Retail Sales PRGM you will lead the organization accountable for partnering with Sales to drive top line performance within major customers or channel groups. You will partner with Sales Leadership to develop the strategies and plans necessary to meet the organization’s revenue growth deliverables. Your main focus will be to ensure that your organization is working with the enterprise’s data sources and trade solutions to harvest insight and determine the pricing and promotional actions needed to drive the business while adhering to the commercial strategy and acting coherently within the marketplace. This will require the ability to build capability, lead through change, and influence leadership within other functions including Sales and Finance.
What you will do:
• Lead an organization of professionals embedded across the US At Home Sales Customer Facing Teams (CFTs) whose primary responsibilities include:
• Creation of the customer/channel topline (revenue) plan for beverages and appliances
• In year revenue plan management & execution
• Identification of customer specific insight through utilization of the enterprise’s Trade Promotional Optimization platform
• Stewardship of each selling team’s performance management routine
• Partner with SVPs of Sales to develop customer/channel strategies for successfully attaining revenue plan in line with commercial guardrails and marketplace coherence
• Lead change effort across customer facing teams to ensure all business management decisions impacting the top line are being made in a fact based manner leveraging all available PRGM solution insights and analytics capabilities
• Ensure alignment with Sales Leadership on all sales generated exception requests submitted for approval into the US At Home Trade Board Routine
• Partner with headquarters’ PRGM functions to build capability across the team and within the selling organization against PRGM principles and practices
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, MBA preferred, and 10 years of experience in finance, sales or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.
• Ability to work across multiple data sources to provide a holistic perspective.
• Ability to think systemically & lead complex processes.
• Prefer experience in a “Fortune 500” company, or in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Beverage or related industries.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Experience working across multiple levels and functions of an organization to drive results.
