Role Summary
• Support the Director, Sales Operations in all responsibilities and activities related to the achievement of objectives and assigned tasks.
• Ensure that Sales Volumes and Customer Sales Satisfaction strategies are in alignment with Profitability objectives at both the wholesale and the retail level for the Region.
• Direct the activities of assigned Sales Operation Managers (SOM’s) to create and implement Sales, Customer Satisfaction & Distribution strategies that support the Region’s Sales and SSI targets.
• Maintain a high level understanding of Sales, Distribution & Incentive strategies and tactics.
• Ensure that all actions positively impact Brand Integration and are in alignment with both new and on-going programs.
Role Responsibilities
• Directly support the GSOM in any and all activities pertaining to the achievement of the Region’s assigned objectives.
• Direct and manage assigned SOM’s including the recruitment, development and mentoring of team members.
• Drive high-quality sales operations through the use of tools, training and support to Field and Dealer network & ensure resolution of issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Volkswagen Sales strategies for new cars, CPO, Fleet & customer satisfaction.
• Assist in the preparation, presentation and monitoring of Regional incentive budgets.
• Assist in developing tools and training for Field, Sales Trainers and Dealer network.
• Develop Sales strategies with the Operations Managers to drive implementation of these strategies towards the achievement of Sales objectives.
Qualifications
Years of Experience
• Minimum of 15 years of experience
• 10 years of automotive experience
Education-Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing
Education-Desired
• Master's degree
Skills
• Strong communication skills
• Proven success in leading a team of professionals in achieving rigorous sales & profit objectives
• Experienced in developing strong, positive working relations, both in the corporate and field environments
Specialized Skills-Required
• 10 - 15 years of experience in automotive industry in a sales, finance, strategic, and business development capacity
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing successful sales, profit and marketing programs
• Demonstrated ability to motivate both dealers and employees to achieve Volkswagen business objectives in the areas of new car sales, customer service, parts sales and retail profitability
Work Flexibility
• Travel required 60 – 80%.
