Director, Category Leadership - Region 5 (Dallas)
• Lead development of category initiatives as part of Region 1-Yr Planning
• Maximize current retail captaincies and develop captaincy target plans
• Utilize multiple POS and Syndicated data sources to develop a deep understanding of category performance in the retail sales environment
• Utilize multiple shopper data sources to gain strong understanding of the Beer shopper
• Partner with retailer to develop Beer category growth plan incorporating strategies for levers such as assortment, space pricing and promotions
• Lead Category Capabilities development and continuous improvement across Region and Wholesaler personnel
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to idenitify capabilities gaps, drive process improvement, build knowledge and share best practices
• Recruit, hire and develop team with diverse skillsets needed to achieve team vision
• Efficiently allocate and manage teammates across key accounts
• Owner of all category issues/opportunities and ability to prioritize and communicate back to Center of Excellence to develop solutions
• Bachelors degree with emphasis in Business, Computer/Data Science, Engineering, or related
• 5 - 10 years in Category Management and/or Sales in Consumer Product Goods industry
• Space & assortment strategy experience
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with emphasis on partnering to solve complex problems
• Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, demographic data, panel data, etc.
• Prior experience analyzing retailer data and strong presentation/storytelling skills
• Exceptional influencing & selling skills
• Experience leading successful, large scale projects
• Understanding of DSD, 3-tier system, and retail environment
• Ability to travel 20%
