We are currently hiring for our next IT Service Delivery Director in Boston, MA.
The IT Service Delivery Director at Boston Beer Company is responsible for directly leading, managing, and developing the Service Management functions within the Information Technology Team.
This accountable for the introduction and implementation of industry best practices across the enterprise. This leadership role of a team of IT professionals will be a driver of ITIL Service Management and continually strives to educate, collaborate, and improve the IT service management practices currently at Boston Beer Company (BBC).
What You'll Do:
• Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the IT Service Delivery Team to foster a business-oriented culture to ensure alignment between IT and the business functions and to directly contribute to BBC’s goals and objectives.
• Lead the development of the IT strategy and roadmap and ensure the teams integration with the overall IT and enterprise strategic plans through coordination with the VP of IT and other IT leaders. Current roadmap includes an expanding landscape for SAP ERP integrated with Oracle Fusion HR and Anaplan, among other applications.
• Act as a trusted advisor to BBC business partners to build and maintain relationships with other IT leaders and business executives to develop a clear understanding of BBC’s business needs and corresponding delivery of IT services to meet those needs for the organization.
• Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for the IT Service Delivery Team to ensure it is consistent with overall strategic objectives and is within the overall plan.
• Ensure that all IT services and processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards, legislation, and regulations (e.g. TTB, Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR, HIPAA etc.)
• Direct the IT vendor management strategy to make the most effective use of available internal, contract, and external service provider resources and provide management oversight for strategic partner relationships and vendor contracts.
• Manage change management across IT leaders, IT management and staff to ensure effective collection and dissemination of information regarding IT applications.
• Manage Network Security in a timely manner to ensure that adverse outcomes are minimized and controlled.
• Provide leadership to ensure the overall digital strategy matures appropriately as BBC’s needs grow.
• Participate in senior business leadership discussions and provide business relevant updates on IT initiatives and strategies.
• Evaluation of industry best practices and disciplines to determine the appropriateness of bringing or modifying those best practices into BBC.
• Develop BBC enterprise level IT process for service management engagement to achieve consistent service delivery across the service portfolio. Work with business and audit partners to identify governance improvements.
• Establishment, monitoring, and reporting of Service Level Targets / Key Performance Indicators (SLTs/KPIs) in the service of BBC colleagues and support of the business strategy.
• Enforce enterprise SLTs and associated Operational Level Agreements (OLAs)
• Engage with the internal customer community via outreach programs for technology awareness, knowledge enhancement, and IT communications.
• Engage with the IT process leads to implement projects and technology improvements
• Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate BBC management on their competitive or financial impact.
• Supervise recruitment, development, management and retention of all IT Service Delivery staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
What We're Looking For:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Rigorous budget management in accordance with annual IT budgets
• Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
• Ability to identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and processes, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
• Review and negotiate hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts; and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale
• Experience with SAP and hosted applications including Office 365, Anaplan and Oracle are a must have
• Manufacturing experience also preferred, as BBC has two large breweries (Pennsylvania and Ohio) and several outsourced manufacturing partners
• Ability to lead a fast-paced IT team of both full time and contract staff
• Experience supporting a 1500+ end user environment
• A minimum of 10 years of Information Technology experience, and 6 years of management experience
• Experience in CPG, pharma or life sciences preferred
• Experience in vendor management, computer operations, network management, technical management and end user support
