Position Overview:
Lead The Coca-Cola Company and the Coca-Cola System’s global 5by20 initiative inclusive of cross-functional integration and alignment with senior management across the System, senior-level government policy engagement, material risk/trend assessment, strategy development, goal-direction-setting, governance, major/global partner development, management and business integration, investor relations, customer engagement, and senior management.
Function Specific Activities:
This role will:
• Develop and assist in addressing key global public policy issues, with a focus on:
◦ women’s economic empowerment;
◦ leading the governance of the company’s 5by20 initiative globally to deliver the 5 million women commitment;
◦ developing the next policy proposal and goal addressing economic empowerment (women, young people, vulnerable communities), inequality, including reskilling, retraining and helping address the youth employment to further advance the company’s global reputation.
• Helps enhance relationships and builds results with stakeholders regarding the reputation of the Company as a growth business and key community partner.
• Responsible for proactive government relations/issues management, stakeholder relations, and strongly supporting leadership and external communications
Duties
Strategic prioritization: In partnership with BUs and Bottlers, develop an economic empowerment strategy and governance that supports engagement with local governments.
Partners & NGO outreach: Identification, development, negotiation, management, system engagement/alignment and execution of large partnerships; Leadership and corporate representation on major, collaborative associations and organizations (such as Global Business Coalition for Women’s Economic Empowerment); Engagement with NGOs and civil society actors to help the system manage relationships around women’s economic empowerment and youth employment.
Globally Recognized Leadership : Internal and external (industrywide), globally-recognized economic impact and empowerment expert and thought-leader; Represent the Company in external major, public speaking engagements, top-tier media interviews, and with investors related to 5by20, women’s empowerment and other sustainability issues
Provide in-market support : With customer management teams, engage customer senior and sustainability management on strategic advice and collaborative efforts (such as Walmart, which also has a women’s empowerment goal), sharing BU best practices

RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• 15+ years’ experience in PAC/Government relations. Ideally has a background in politics and is therefore used to campaigning and policy making.
• Working understanding across multi-cultural, matrixed organization.
• Developed stakeholder network.
• Experience in working to develop fully integrated plans to drive clear, measurable outcomes in markets on business critical issues.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate complex issues to drive tangible business actions.
