Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for implementing and developing the company’s sales plan for all products within assigned division. In this role, will also manage personnel, and the overall division business to maximize sales and revenue for the company.
Accountabilities:
• Maintain/expand customer base, and monitor daily market conditions.
• Establish key relationships with decision makers in assigned division.
• Effectively negotiate contracts and claims with customers to minimize loss.
• Move rejected fruit to Distribution Centers, and/or wholesalers as needed.
• Communicate with management team to not only share information, but to ensure maximization of revenue.
Minimum Skills Required:
• 4 year College Degree, from an accredited institution, and/or at least 5 years of related work experience.
• 10+ years proven sales and product knowledge within the produce industry.
• Have strong relationships with major retail chains and food service operators etc.
• Experience Building/scaling a sales team
• Proven experience developing sales strategy and managing sales metrics & employee performance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Good interpersonal skills, effective communicator across all functionalities, internally as well as externally.
• Strong quantitative and presentation skills.
• Flexibility to travel as needed within assigned division.
Preferred but not Essential:
• Bi-lingual: Spanish and English.
