Director of Sales - eCommerce (Amazon)
Job Description:
The Director of Sales –Indirect eCommerce (Amazon)will be responsible for building the strategic direction for indirect e-Commerce partnership activities to achieve the efficient and profitable sale of the company’s products to targeted levels., with heavy emphasis on Belkin’s relationship with Amazon.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop concepts, strategies, policies and procedures to improve Belkin’s indirect e-Commerce competitive position, increase sales, and meet financial objectives and functional goals through key e-Commerce partners’ websites, focusing primarily on Amazon.
• Develop performance metrics and assesses the effectiveness of Belkin content, marketing events, and promotions on Amazon.
• Partner with Marketing teams to execute asset create, and oversee site merchandising initiatives in regards to assortment pricing, promotions, and production presentation for the indirect e-Commerce sales channels.
• Partner with other functional areas in strategic development, planning, coordination, and execution of indirect e-Commerce activities/projects across Belkin globally.
• Responsible for annual channel budget, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L responsibility.
• Responsible and accountable for the continuous daily pursuit of project placement on partner websites to expand sales.
• Formulate sales plans to leverage current and prospective accounts, and monitor prospecting activities.
• Partner with direct e-Commerce sales team, IT and marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging.
• Partner and collaborate with retail sales, direct e-Commerce sales, and other channel sales to reduce channel marketing and pricing conflicts.
• Participate in formulation of short term and long range planning regarding market share and product mix. Recommend and monitor sales and profit plans, goals, and quotes.
• Analyze industry market trends, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts.
• Partner with Marketing Department in developing marketing plan and appropriate materials.
• Review and analyze daily sales statistics.
• Support Company's Affirmative Action initiatives, providing equal opportunity to employees and candidates.
• Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001, understand and fully support ISO system.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of e-Commerce strategy and planning experience particularly with Indirect channel partner Amazon.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proven ability to identify trends in e-Commerce channel; including building effective business partnerships.
• Skilled at building consensus through collaboration gains cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals; facilitating “win-win” situations; maximizing use of resources within applicable regulatory limits.
• Experience managing functional sales disciplines with direct reporting lines and responsibilities.
• Strong financial and strategic planning skills along with a high level of understanding of Internet marketing and overall business development.
• Proven track record of developing relationships with team members, internal stakeholders, clients, retailers, vendors, and business partners to execute on sales plans domestically and globally.
• Solid analytical skills and budgeting experience.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility, ability to work under pressure, and have a prevailing attitude.
• Travel required, usually for one to three days per month.
