A fantastic opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Director, Supply to join our Finance team in Parsippany, NJ.
Summary
This role suits an ambitious finance person seeking a high profile role within the supply finance organization. As the regional supply finance lead, the individual will be responsible for the supply finance of the Surface Hygiene and Home manufacturing sites in North America. This individual will have responsibility of financial support for the SH&H NAC including planning, forecasting and analysis. Provide financial support and advice to the supply director of SH&H NAC as far as financial management and projects are concerned.
Responsibilities
Regional Supply Finance – SH&H NAC
1. Accounting and reporting:
• Consolidate the regional results and produce KPI reports.
• Analyze the monthly results, check and consolidate the explanations, highlight the issues to regional supply director and the factory site directors, and provide the proper and balanced feed back to the Global Supply Controller - SH&H.
• Produce Management Reports on the overall progress of the region and propose and implement internal reporting improvements.
• CAPEX control and challenge within the region to ensure the right investments are made both now and in the future. Detailed analysis and in-depth challenge is required to support all significant investments.
2. Cost reduction, sourcing and benchmarking:
• Identification and coordination of cost reduction and benchmarking within the region to ensure best costs for RB. This includes the current and potential use of contract manufactures.
• Continually identify opportunities for harmonisation and consolidation across the region to drive costs out of the supply chain.
• Lead benchmarking and sourcing studies as appropriate to reduce costs (direct, indirect, headcounts etc). Ensure data integrity and full corporate strategic thinking.
• Help re-invigorate Squeeze opportunities throughout the region without jeopardizing product quality.
• Increased focus and support to procurement, ensuring transparency of current and forecast PPV. Ensure rebates are optimised and SER's / Mould costs are monitored and controlled.
• Improve and supervise the NPD cost estimates, and track the accuracy and integrity of delivery.
• Visit the regional SH&H manufacturing sites to review performance, ensure controls, and understand risks and opportunities; publish minutes from these meetings and ensure they are followed up.
3. Planning and budgeting:
• Supervise the regional forecasting activity and the planning process, ensuring high quality and integrity.
• Follow up on exchange rate movements, and in cooperation with Corporate, indicate to management appropriate actions (material pre-buy, hedging etc).
• Assist in data collection and analysis to support presentations on proposed strategic initiatives. Assist the Regional Manufacturing Director in target setting and tracking.
4. Processes and Controls:
• Review External/Internal Audit reports, and indicate appropriate responses and actions.
• Drive changes in accounting policy and process through the regional factories.
5. Regional SH&H Supply Team:
• Member of the NAC SH&H Supply Finance Team, share best practice across NAC covering systems, inventory management, NWC, cost control and CAPEX.
• Key input to the strategy of regional management and the vision of regional compliance throughout SH&H NAC, ensuring the transition of sites to global SH&H focus leads to reduced overall cost, aligned with Supercharge.
• Attend and participate in regional supply management meetings, providing analysis and comments where appropriate.
• Compile and implement training programs for the Financial Teams in the Organization and develop the financial awareness of the regional supply team.
Qualifications
• 10-15 years work experience within Finance / Accounting,
• Prior experience with Supply and Manufacturing preferred
• CPA a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills to allow for mutual understanding of problems and development of cooperative solutions
• Ability to make and influence decisions, multi-task and prioritize assignments
• Proven leader with supervisory skills for effective team building and motivation of direct reports
