Regional Finance Director- North America Taste
IFF's North American Taste Division has an exciting opportunity for an experience Finance Leader. Based at our US Flavors Creative Center in Central New Jersey, the Finance Director is a key member of the regional leadership team partnering with Commercial and Operational Management to ensure optimal financial performance within the North America. Reporting to the VP, Global Taste Finance, the Regional Finance Director will be thoroughly versed in each site’s financial results, forecasts and budgets.
Responsibilities include, and are not limited to, the following:
• Prepare the annual operating plans and monthly sales and P&L forecasts for the Taste business unit and implement strong financial variance analytics to be used by Senior Leadership for appropriate adjustments
• Direct the preparation of the monthly financial statements in an accurate and timely manner and provide analysis of the drivers for variances between prior years and plans.
• Prepare the financial analysis of sales and margins and provide support to commercial teams in seeking possibilities to improve the profitability when necessary
• Together with the RGM, develop and execute a (financial) strategy that complements the short- and long-term business objectives of the Taste Business Unit.
• Lead the preparation of the capital budget, monitor spending and provide financial signoff and input on all major capital investments in the region.
• Manage a team of finance professionals distributed across the US
• Participate in the integration activities associated with recent acquisition of Frutarom
Required Skills:
• Bachelors degree in accounting
• Strong US GAAP and SOX knowledge
• 10+ years of experience in a publically traded organization with a diverse geographic footprint, consumer goods manufacturing industry experience highly valued
• Demonstrable experience managing both FP&A and operations controlling functions
• Strong leadership experience and people development skills. Track record in building and developing successful teams
• Prior experience working in a global, matrixed essential for success in this role
• Strong background partnering with commercial teams and assisting with margin improvement, rebate programs and credit issuance
• Exceptional relationship builder with employees, leaders, customers, and partners
• Continuous improvement mentality
• SAP experience strongly desired
