Sr Director, Product Management Marketing

In this role, you have the opportunity to
Guide and drive the development of new products from the initial phase until the final product, to get the optimal combination of performance and price in time for the defined market segment.
Define business opportunity based on customer insights and translates them into winning value propositions. Owns portfolio, product and claims roadmaps and defines commercial specifications for the required products, being co-responsible for the realization of the products and the proper introduction of these products in the market.
• Integrates long term market developments with the mission and objectives of the business line into global product strategies.
• Collects and analysis market information w.r.t. to long term market and technology developments.
• Translates mission and objectives into global product strategies. Ensures that product strategies are interlinked with product strategies of other Businesses.
• Ensures that the disciplines involved are anticipating on the consequences of the developed product strategy.
• Takes the lead in the strategy.
You are responsible for
Responsible for upstream marketing activities for the products / solutions, including definition of the strategy and its enablers as well as its alignment with key markets globally.
• Value proposition development based on customer insights, including Health Economics for lead markets
• Portfolio, Product & Clinical claims roadmaps
• Business Case
• Pricing (Price setting) and margin optimization
• Channel Strategy for assigned product portfolio
• Compliance with Quality & Regulatory requirements (if applicable)
• Drive definition, development and introduction of the products/solutions, including cross-business solution development to our customers by meeting their needs, including service and consumables
• Responsible for lifecycle management and market readiness as part of PDLM. Ensure completion of appropriate deliverables (feature descriptions, value propositions, costing/pricing/quoting materials, etc.)
• P&L responsible for Product and/or Solutions development of the business case to support new value creation
• Customer and Market Insights: Analyze the market, the competition, and trends on enterprise level across segment technologies to ensure the portfolio is being responsible for the market’s needs and expectations Develop and maintain a needs-based customer segmentation requirements (across global markets and supported by Market Intelligence).
• Translate in-depth market and customer insights, as well as ambitious analyses into winning concepts/ clear product specifications for the release train, in such a way that in short, mid and long term a sound business result can be achieved
• Work with various disciplines including Innovation, R&D departments, internal and external design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication and international sales organizations. Core team member in PRP/PDML from Marketing
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• MBA preferred with 15 + years of professional experience within Upstream Marketing -business management/product management/strategy & innovation/product marketing/consulting within a medical device or healthcare information system regulated business
• Building and motivating a dynamic, diverse and strong teams
• Experience in Ultrasound a plus
• Strategic thinking/planning including out of the box thinking and tenacity to find solutions to problems both within and outside the company.
• Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to success
• Strong project management capabilities, with validated experience.
• Strong track-record of senior relationship management
• Shown success in working across boundaries, as well as working in a global organization across various cultures and departments.
• Attention to detail and strong eye for quality
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, preferably across geographic boundaries
