The primary responsibility of the Associate Director, Commercial Projects, is to spearhead identification of net new Sales and total US commercial projects, prioritize the backlog of existing demand, and oversee design and implementation of solutions into the field. This role will manage a team of resources ranging from project managers to senior analysts. He or she will interact directly with Sales Leadership to identify Sales-specific needs but also with other US Zone leaders, representing the Sales organization in total US initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in retail sales, project management, and professional services.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Oversee identification and stakeholder buy-in to strategic Sales projects, defining the overall vision, strategy, governance structure, key performance indicators, and critical milestones.
• Work with Sales and Marketing teams to identify needs, gather requirements, and serve as the Sales subject matter expert for all strategic initiatives and organizational projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales teams, IT, Revenue Management, and Marketing to support enterprise technology solution design and development.
• Lead implementation of solutions into the field, ensuring full completion of all requirements gathered from stakeholders and end users.
• Coach and develop direct reports on design, build, and delivery of prototypes to business stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver presentations and reports to Sales leadership, US Zone leadership, and the board of directors on progress of projects.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or another related field required (MBA preferred).
• 7-10 years of experience in a Sales role required.
• Project management experience required (experience with agile methodology and change management preferred).
• Advanced command of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Project Plan.
• Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly and concisely relay information to senior leadership.
