Global Design Director, Ford Land
Job Description/Overview:
The Ford Land Global Director, Design will report to the Chairman & CEO, Ford Land and be responsible for corporate-wide workplace design, strategy and associated policy development at Ford Motor Company. Chosen candidate will develop and implement engaging Workplace Experience that attract, develop and retain talent by delivering best in class environments that align present and future requirements while ensuring employee satisfaction, productivity, teamwork, collaboration and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the Workplace Design industry with experience in driving transformational Workplace Experience strategies. Must be an experienced leader who fosters creativity and quality.
Responsibilities:
Chosen candidate will focus on:
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive Global Workplace Experience strategy that embodies the Ford culture and brand.
• Developing and securing strategic partnerships, creating and managing high value solutions in line with company objectives.
• Observing the workplace environment and culture to identify the experiential needs across operational touchpoints.
• Accelerating improvement in workplace energy and engagement by serving as a process catalyst.
• Advising on how to develop an environment for increased productivity and wellbeing.
• Connecting operational needs with service deliveries to implement a workplace strategy and design that benefits all employees.
• Identifying and utilizing networking and connections with Key Industry thought leaders.
• Developing internal and external relationships
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 5+ years of experience in Workplace Experience strategy development and implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s in Design related field is preferred
• Workplace Design industry specific experience
• Strong collaborative, interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation and creative problem solving
• Creative and innovative mindset as it relates to employees’ workplace experience
• Strong business acumen with visionary mindset
• Experience with leading teams and project planning
• Experience in budgeting and proposal development
• Ability to lead a team, using human-centric thinking
• Experience in business operations strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to interface at all levels of an organization internally and externally
