The Area Director of Finance (ADF) is responsible for translating performance into actions that will enable delivery of financial commitments within his or her specific Sales area. The ADF serves as the voice of finance in the decision-making process as it relates to reviews, monthly close process, commercialization initiatives, and development of the annual operating plan.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Serves as the finance expert to the Area Vice President (AVP) of Sales.
• Interfaces with Sales area leadership to articulate business results, opportunities, and recommended actions to drive gap closure and incremental sales.
• Oversees development and implementation of the annual operating plan, financial rituals, routines, and reporting.
• Oversees the development and delivery of insights related to Commercial Planning & Finance, Business Budgeting, Sales Forecasting, Revenue & Trade Management, and Portfolio Optimization.
• Oversees the translation of financial data into solutions that can be actioned by Sales leaders.
• Coaches and develops direct reports to be trusted financial business partners.
• Collaborates with finance peers across the US Zone to identify best practices and opportunities to replicate within US Sales.
*Minimum Qualifications
• BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required. M.B.A. preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance/Accounting. Prior experience supporting a Sales organization preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to deliver executive-level presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to influence cross-functional team members.
• Strong Technical and Systems orientation.
• Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Possesses the ability to lead teams and effectively work through others.
• Team player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management, in some cases without authority.
