Janssen Global Services is currently recruiting for Director for New Business Development (NBD) Analytics to support the Immunology Therapeutic Area with the Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO) to be located in Horsham, PA.
Janssen Global Services, L.L.C. (JGS) is a legal corporate entity encompassing a unique group of departments/organizations/teams that provide leadership across business critical areas for Janssen, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson. The following groups make up JGS: Global Commercial Strategy Organization, Global Pharmaceutical Communication and Public Affairs; U.S. Pharmaceutical Procurement Group (USPPG); and Pharmaceuticals Group Business Development (PGBD).
The Director role will be responsible for leading key Market Insights & Customer Knowledge initiatives in support of licensing and acquisition decisions for the Immunology TA. Projects/efforts involve developing deep competitive intelligence insights, coordinating global forecasting and leading market research. As a strategic partner, the role involves partnering with a cross functional team and working with commercial leaders to determine appropriate customer knowledge efforts in the disease area(s). The role is responsible for management of multiple, complex projects and priorities, demonstrating cutting-edge functional excellence and working independently to prioritize work / manage multiple priorities for self and team. This role will involve managing primary market research projects as well as the aggregation of multiple data sources into clear, concise customer and market analysis to deliver strong strategic insights and to drive decision making. This role will also be responsible for leading global forecast development and coordination as aligned to our global processes for new business opportunities. Work closely with the TA Senior Leadership Teams including Strategic Marketing, Project Management Office, Finance, Global Business Analytics (GBA), and Market Access (health economics) teams to ensure alignment to strategy for maximal value.
This role will report to the Senior Director for External Innovation, Immunology.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required. MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 8+ years of professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years analytical experience in primary and secondary Market Research, Portfolio Analysis or Financial Management analysis is required.
• Experience building relationships with R&D/technical organizations or commercial organizations is required.
• Exposure to Business Development is preferred.
• Experience working in Competitive Intelligence is preferred.
• Expertise in working across the life-cycle, from pre-New Molecular Entity (NME) to post-launch, is preferred.
• Prior Immunology experience is preferred.
• A proven track record of success in ambiguous and complex environments is required.
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends, competition, reimbursement, regulatory, globalization, new technologies and their potential impacts on the portfolio is preferred.
• Must be a good team player, demonstrate self-motivation and be detail-orientated and a strategic thinker.
• Strong collaboration skills, excellent communication skills and strong presentation skills are required.
• The ability to partner and influence without authority with leaders at all levels is required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop deep insights, uncover unmet needs, drive innovation, inspire, develop, collaborate and lead within a global matrixed team is required.
• This position will require domestic and international travel as needed.
