Director - Digital Payments & Funding
Summary
The Money Processing revenue division oversees Green Dot’s real-time money movement offerings. The division has overall P&L responsibility of the products/services as well as manages internal/external party partners that leverage our offerings. The Director - Digital Payments & Funding will be responsible for our digital funding services, including real-time bank validation, ACH credits/debits, debit/credit card in its native form or via token stored in mobile wallets, Zelle, and more. This Director will oversee the planning, implementation, go live, and ongoing monitoring and calibration of each digital funding service. The Brand Director will work closely with our consumer accounts division as well as various other stakeholders to ensure each service achieves the delicate balance of profit and potential loss. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess a deep understanding of the digital payment space, proven product experience and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
• Partner with the Product Engineering and Consumer Accounts business unit to bring to market, oversee, and grow new digital funding services, such as transferring funds from external accounts via ACH, from Debit/Credit Cards, etc.
• Be an avid user of the services to assess any defects and expand on successful product features. Ensure that there are no gaps in the user experience and that the services are functioning properly.
• Be the knowledge expert of digital payments and market trends (new methods, fraud detection/prevention tools, etc.).
• Work closely with payment processing and bank operations teams to develop a deep understanding of payment/debit network rules, NACHA rules, dispute/chargeback rights, etc.
• Monitor and analyze specific metrics including unit economics, adoption, usage patterns, decline rates and fraud losses to identify/recommend improvements as well as meet management plan goals.
• Champion the digital funding user experience and partner with the design, marketing, and consumer accounts teams to ensure the digital funding conversion flow works effectively and achieves high adoption by our cardholder customers.
• Work with appropriate teams to track call center, social media and partner complaints and comments from customers related to each service, synthesize insights from this feedback for future enhancements.
• Work closely with internal teams (consumer accounts, legal, risk/compliance, fraud, payment ops, bank ops, product and engineering) to launch services within the expected timeline and implement ongoing optimization.
• Identify and create business case for new digital funding options for continuous expansion of our service offering.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed expectations
Requirements
• Bachelors' degree required.
• MBA or Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product development and management.
• Strategic thinker who is capable of mining insights and pain points from discussions with internal stakeholders, customers and insights to optimize service performance.
• Experience in the product lifecycle, starting from concept, go live and ongoing management.
• Strong verbal/written communication, presentation and analytical skills, and Keen interpersonal and relationship skills.
• Experience in digital payments (ACH, card payments, etc) a must
• Experience in other financial services a plus.
• Experience using MicroStrategy, Tableau, Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, and other analytics tools a plus.
