Commercial Finance Director - Water Portfolio

Function Specific Activities:
The Commercial Finance Director – Water Portfolio (Dasani, smartwater and Topo Chico, among others) is a key member of the Still Business Unit Finance Leadership Team. This position will report to the VP, Finance Still BU and will partner with the VP, Water Portfolio to assess the brands’ financial health and develop/evaluate strategies to maximize the opportunity and drive topline growth and improve profitability for the Water Portfolio Brands. This role has one direct report.
The position will be responsible for the Water Portfolio P&L management and requires a solid understanding of value chain models, discounted cash flows, ROI analysis, KO Franchise System, Bottler P&L, Supply chain models, design to value concepts, concentrate business, incidence pricing as well as experience with CCNA financial reporting routines and systems. Candidates should have strong communication, presentation, influencing and analytical skills.
Primary responsibilities:
• Manage the Water Portfolio P&L and partner with the Business to deliver results.
• The role includes the assessment and development of scenarios related to future investments needed to maximize the returns on capital investments and to capture market-based opportunities that create and meet retailer and consumer needs with product and innovative solutions.
• Lead development of commercial finance analysis (value chain analysis, financial modelling, opportunity assessment, return on investment analysis, cash flow analysis and other financial tools) to develop recommendation to business leads and strategy assessments to support decision making.
• Communicate and interpret findings across brand, category and consumer based on financial analysis that provides additional perspectives on implications, risk, opportunity and trends.
• Build value-based relationships with Brand, Category, Commercial, RGM, Franchise, NRS, knowledge and insights, supply chain, legal and other key associates.
• Review, provide input, approve and present completed analyses that requires expert knowledge of financial models and application of strategic and operational measures to assess economic and commercial viability of proposed investments.
• Review, analyze, recommend and drive improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness against existing business processes, as required.
• Provide insight and expertise on strategic business issues and work on special projects, as assigned to drive innovative business improvements and profitability.
• Lead Annual Impairment analysis for Water Portfolio Brands, as required.
• Work with the Still BU Financial Planning team to understand the performance of the business and provide input to the monthly Rolling Estimate process.
• Focus on people development by leading/coaching/developing associates to drive business results as well as nurture and support a positive employee experience.
Position Requirements:
Education –
Minimum Required:
• Bachelor's Degree and equivalent work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics
Preferred:
• Finance/Accounting background
• MBA, CPA, or CFA
Experience:
Minimum Required:
• Experienced financial planning background with minimum 10-13 years of experience within packaged goods companies.
Preferred:
• Financial planning and innovation background with 13+ years of experience.
Skills:
Minimum Required:

• Understanding of CPG and Coca-Cola specific go to market structures and options
• Ability to understand drivers of volume and profitability, competitive landscape/impact, pressure test assumptions, provide options and recommendations on action plans.
• Solid knowledge of Value Chain analysis, more specifically, retailer, bottler/distributor and Company P&L structures, profit sharing arrangements and economic implications
• Understanding of CCNA supply chain structures and economic models
• Understanding of P&L management including policy and controls
• Strong collaboration and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to present financial results to large audiences.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and using financial models, templates, strategic and operational measures and software programs/systems in order to perform financial analysis.
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This includes the ability to apply these principles and determine compliance with the principles.
• Ability to manage people effectively and develop associates in commercial finance skills and growth and leadership behaviors.
• Teamwork and collaboration with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
