Director, Financial Planning and Innovation - Still

Function Specific Activities:
The Financial Planning & Innovation Director is a key member of the Still Business Unit Finance Leadership Team. This position will report the VP, Finance Still and will be responsible for managing the financial routines for the entire Still BU portfolio and lead the finance support to Innovation projects / Stages & Gates process. In addition, the role is responsible for the financial internal controls and RFA process for the Business Unit. This role has two direct reports.
The position requires a solid understanding of the CCNA financial reporting routines and Innovation Process. Candidates should have strong communication, presentation and analytical skills.
Primary responsibilities:
• Lead the team that manages all financial routines including month-end close, rolling estimates, risks and opportunities and annual business plan for the Still Business Unit.
• Responsible for variance analysis, narratives and communicate key performance indicators to BU Leadership team.
• Consolidated monthly summary financial reports and narratives.
• Manage DME and Trade Spend budgets with robust financial analysis.
• Manage operating expenses budgets ensure Risks and Opportunities are identified and communicated.
• Lead the financial support to the brand teams for new product/package/flavor launches, and financial support for the Stages & Gates routines. This includes, collaborating with Brand Innovation Team to analyze innovation pipeline financial health, including value chain analysis of brand/product/package introductions, line extensions and brand marketing programs for the Still BU brands.
• Responsible for adherence to Company’s financial policies and controls, as well as monitor internal control environment and close gaps.
• Responsible for RFA process.
• Focus on people development by leading/coaching/developing associates to drive business results as well as nurture and support a positive employee experience.
Position Requirements:
Education –
Minimum Required:
• Bachelor's Degree and equivalent work experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics
Preferred:
• Finance/Accounting background
• MBA, CPA, or CFA
Experience:
Minimum Required:
• Experienced financial planning background with minimum 10-13 years of experience within packaged goods companies.
Preferred:
• Financial planning and innovation background with 13+ years of experience.
Skills:
Minimum Required:
• Business Planning / Rolling Estimate Process. Ability to apply forecasting techniques and skills to develop and evaluate business goals and strategies, analyzing information to derive insights and implications to initiate planning and/or re-planning.
• Experience in variance analysis and narratives, risk and opportunities tracking, and controlling actual results versus budget.
• Understanding of drivers of volume and profitability.
• Experience in developing, maintaining, and using financial models, templates, strategic and operational measures and software programs/systems in order to perform financial analysis.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to present financial results to large audiences.
• Knowledge of value chain analysis, P&L drivers and Stages & Gates process.
• Understanding of CPG and Coca-Cola specific go to market structures and options
• Understanding of strategy development, execution and support methodologies
• Understanding of CCNA specific supply chain structures and economics
• Financial Policies and Procedures. Knowledge of the Company's financial policies and procedures including Standard Practices and Procedures, Standard Accounting Codes, Reporting and Budgeting, Code of Business Conduct, ISSCOM, as well as internal policies and procedures specific to area of responsibility (e.g., controller's group, fountain, operations, manufacturing).
• Ability to manage people effectively and develop associates in financial planning skills and growth behaviors.
Preferred:
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This includes the ability to apply these principles and determine compliance with the principles.
