DIRECTOR NORTH AMERICA LOGISTICS
About you:
You are a supply chain enthusiast with a passion for continuous improvement and you have experience driving cross functional initiatives involving internal and external parties.
The Role:
The Director of North America Logistics is responsible for leading a team of Logistics professionals in the Global Logistics team. You will manage a group that is responsible for delivering service to our customers at target cost through 3rd party suppliers for warehousing and transportation. You expect best service and performance from your partners as well as from your team members.
Your Contribution:
• You are responsible for the service level or our 3rd party logistics providers.
-You are responsible to meet or beat our our regional logistics budget.
• You will develop a strong partnership with our regional and global business partners within the Supply Chain
• You develop key relationships at various levels with our 3rd party logistics providers, Warehouse and Transportation partners and manage collaborative partnerships, delivering end to end best service and cost.
• You jointly develop and implement best in class logistics processes
• Your follow policies, processes and standard metrics for warehousing and transportation and contribute to improvements.
• You manage a team with total span of control of about 10 employees in different locations
• Drive operational excellence across the Logistics network in North America
Key Qualifications:
• You have spent 15+ years as an expert in 2 or more supply chain disciplines (logistics, order management, planning, procurement) and 5+ years in relationship management positions that span across the organization (cross functional) and are ambiguous.
• This role is both executional (fire fighting) and strategic in influence (fire prevention).
• You have experience with management in a global matrix organization working with remote team members and support functions.
• Specific areas of qualification in Logistics Management include: 3rd party management, distribution, warehousing, cross functional collaboration,project management.
• BS degree in a related field
• 7-10+ years leading in a senior management position role
• Demonstrated experience with the use data analytics and KPIs to drive improvements to the bottom line.
• You display calmness under pressure since the job frequently involves stressful situations
• Your communication is clear in both oral and written form
• You have experience with quarterly business reviews, reporting metrics as well as generating useful management and control reports.
• You have experience with supply chain principles and process improvement methodologies.
• You are detail oriented with strong organization skills, ownership, and follow through.
• You have the ability to travel to suppliers and internal customers as needed.
