Job Description:

The Director, Regional GEM East sales position requires that the successful candidate have extensive experience in a fast paced, solution sales environment. They must have a proven track record of success in delivering results utilizing all company resources effectively and efficiently. The selected candidate must be a mature sales leader with both strategic and tactical skills that result in exceeding assigned quota on a quarterly/annual basis. The Director, Regional GEM East sales must be an energetic individual with a track of success in building and managing sales teams that consistently exceed specific region goals. The successful candidate will demonstrate quantifiable success and deep understanding of healthcare, government and education communication applications and buying processes.
• 10+ years experience in sales, 5+ years sales management experience
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategic sales plan that achieves consistent quarter over quarter revenue growth
• Demonstrated success in hiring and performance management at a region level
• Demonstrated success in consistently exceeding quota in the specified region
• Demonstrated success with selling to state and local government and education in the eastern US. Strong knowledge of state procurement process, sales cycles and state contracts
• Familiarity with engaging grant funding sources on client’s behalf
• Demonstrated ability to consistently forecast revenue within a 5-10% variance range
• Successful history of working with qualified channel partners to achieve region revenue goals
• Successful history of driving region revenues in excess of $20M annually
• Experience working in a fast paced, high growth work environment
• Experience in managing field sales, inside sales and technical personnel at a region level
• Successful performance history in a solutions selling environment
• Successful track record of managing geographically dispersed teams of 7 or more individuals
• Success in managing and closing large, complex transactions with long sales cycles
• Track record in managing balanced revenue performance across individual contributors within the region
• Strong understanding of the unified communications market and industry leaders – Microsoft, Cisco, Zoom, and Polycom. Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals
• Strong knowledge of competitive differentiators
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Coaching skills
• IP networking infrastructure sales experience
• Video and audio solutions market experience
• Willingness to travel; 50% plus may be required at times
