ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Business Results
• Drive profitable growth by reviewing, providing guidance and approving all local customer contracts and incentive agreements
• Identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost containment and drive accountability for execution
• Lead continuous improvement and challenge the status qvo to drive results
• Partner with VP Sales/VP Merchandising on Area marketing initiatives and Sales promotions to provide guidance on qualifications and ROI
• Understand critical levers to ensure the annual operating plans are met through review of daily and weekly results dashboards, analyze data, provide insightful explanations of variances / trends, and coordinate action plans
• Partner with Credit organization to support Sales growth while minimizing risk and managing working capital
• Oversight of inventory adjustments, including damage, spoilage, and shrink
Planning & Forecasting
• Own and coordinate with functional leaders the annual planning and monthly forecast for the Area
• Keep Area leaders abreast of risks and opportunities by ensuring planning and forecasting is accurate and on-time
Financial Reporting and Analysis
• Partner with Area Finance Manager and Corporate Controller’s group to create and deliver timely and accurate financial reports
• Prepare internal financial management reports, internal control analyses, operational results flux and trend analyses, customer profitability analyses, and other decision support to ensure goals are met
Establish and Maintain Controls
• Responsible for all field related SOx controls for the Area Hub and DCs
• Support control environment for all DCs in the Area by reporting and correcting any control deficiencies
Leads Area Finance Team
• Direct oversight of Area Finance Manager and Inventory Control Managers at both the Area Hub and DCs
• Train, coach, and develop direct and indirect reports

Qualifications
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s Degree required. BS in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance preferred.
Related Experience/Requirements:
Must possess minimum of seven years accounting and/or financial analysis experience. Prior experience supervising a large accounting staff (5-10 member teams) required. Industry experience is preferred. Ideal candidate has experience that includes collaboration in a functional matrixed environment and virtual leadership across multiple sites. Day or overnight travel may be required to participate in trainings, meetings, or other company events.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Deep knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOx. Broad skill set in financial analysis and financial modeling required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels in the organization. Strong written and oral communication skills required.
