Job Summary
This position:
• Partners with all levels of Procurement, Procurement Leadership, other Supply Chain Finance functions, Research & Development Leadership and Supply Chain Leadership to ensure external financial reporting, management reporting, cost savings, internal controls, working capital targets and risk management objectives relating to Procurement Finance are achieved. Also, partners directly with all levels of Business and Business Finance.
• Partners with the business to provide effective/efficient management reporting, inflation guidance/outlooks, integrated margin management support and assistance/advice supporting sound financial decisions.
• Directs and leads strategic financial initiatives relating to Procurement Finance including developing and implementing changes to the financial systems and processes as determined necessary.
• Develops, directs and evaluates accounting guidance, internal controls, financial plans and policies for Procurement.
• Leads efforts to effectively promote and incorporate best practices and benchmarks to continually improve processes and efficiencies.

Position Responsibilities
• Responsible for internal controls, external financial reporting (evaluation of risk management activities, derivatives, procurement contract reviews, etc.), management reporting (market inflation, sourcing, materials productivity, etc.), all procurement financial planning (forecasts, annual operating plan, strategic plan, etc.) in coordination with the Chief Procurement Officer and the Procurement Leadership Team.
• Responsible for being the finance leader for all connections within the Integrated Margin Management processes/systems/etc. from a Procurement/Supply Chain perspective. This is inclusive of supporting pricing actions by working directly with the brands and the Pricing Team.
• Manage cost savings (sourcing & materials productivity) process/reporting with monthly reviews to identify plan gaps and action plans with Chief Procurement Officer and Supply Chain Leadership Team.
• Lead preparation/evaluation of monthly and quarterly business reviews including analysis of coverage/open positions, market inflation, cost savings opportunities and multiple other variables that can impact procurement operations and overall business results.
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
• 15 years of related experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry
• Direct Procurement Finance, Derivatives, Procurement, Commodity Market experience required
• Understanding of Materials Procurement, Risk Management, Procurement Operations required
• MBA, CPA, CMA preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of financial derivatives and hedging strategies preferred
• Strong fundamental knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Experience identifying, improving and maintaining internal controls
• Ability to manage and make recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP, Right Angle and supporting applications
• Experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge
• Experience accurately forecasting/planning in a given area and understanding the key drivers
• Ability to leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions
• Proven ability to self-motivate in a fast paced environment, ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
• Background and experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems
• Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively manage those relationships
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including leveraging analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions.
• Actively communicate changes to business partners by providing specific, actionable and forward-looking commentary on the various changes as well as guidance on potential risk
• Lead month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, effectiveness of internal controls, identification and resolution of unusual items and issues in a timely manner
• Create a winning team through effective leadership, talent management and team member development
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
