We are currently recruiting for the position of Systems Coordinator (Night Owl)at our Denver Pepperidge Farm facility.
General Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Planning/Scheduling, this position is responsible for the operation of the computerized ingredient handling system supplying the Biscuit and Bakery production lines. The incumbent coordinates the day-to-day operation of the Control Room for both Biscuit and Bakery and generates the Bakery production schedule, as well as, the input of mini miint data related to SAP and Mexvision reporting. Responsible for tracking and controlling all material usage required for production, including ingredients, packaging, and work in process (WIP).
Primary Responsibilities:
• Enters and maintains product formulas and procedures.
• Adjusts formulas, procedures, and schedules as needed during production runs. Communicates with production managers, supervisors, and line operators as appropriate.
• Checks bulk ingredient levels; rotates bulk ingredients from outside tanks to inside tanks. Monitors bulk ingredient handling system alarms; advises Electromechanical Technicians when alarms cannot be resolved through the Control System.
• Provides assistance in resolving day-to-day operational issues with the ingredient handling system and line settings.
• Monitors energy management and quality systems.
• Inputs Bakery production into mini miint database, ensuring accuracy of data.
• Assists the Sanitation Department by entering appropriate commands into the Control System to empty holding tanks and disable bins for cleaning.
• Verifies that the final schedule for each line will meet projected orders for Bakery Operations, and issues schedule.
• Enters actual orders and adjusted physical inventory counts.
• Communicates Bakery scheduling information, problems, and changes to managers and supervisors; and advises the Distribution Department and appropriate hourly personnel as needed.
• Reviews SAP/APO forecasts; adjusts per up to date sales data.
• Coordinates interplant Bakery shipments with the Denver Distribution department.
• Communicates with other plants and corporate planning concerning interplant assistance loads.
• Monitors all material movements to and from supply/usage areas and verifies production to ensure accurate consumption.
• Ensures inventory accuracy within SAP and accurate production reporting in Mini Miint and SAP. Validates, modifies, and closes process orders; investigates and resolves variances.
• Troubleshoots system issues related to data integrity and transaction errors.
• Supports the plant’s continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing raw material usage and performing trend analyses as required.
• Works with Line Operators to ensure that all commits are completed accurately.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Associates degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training in a computer-driven manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Outstanding analytical skills
• The ability to make independent decisions
• Must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot process order variances and other SAP issues.
