Role
Serve as a voice of the finance function in the decision-making process as it relates to budgeting, the monthly close process, contingency planning and analysis, oversight of project commercialization, strategic planning for the business and revenue management. Influence the business to drive profitable growth, by assisting with making the right investments. Develop detailed financials and provide decision making support for all aspects of the Commercial Business Unit and ensure the ROI of strategic initiatives. Develop accurate financial plans and forecasts, and ensure thorough understanding of opportunities, risks and rewards. Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner by applying a deep understanding of financial statements (P&L) and knowledge of accounting. Track risks, opportunities, and contingencies. Apply a strong understanding of retail business and analysis of marketing and sales data (e.g. Nielsen). Implement process improvements, working with a cross functional team. Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process for the Brand Build Business Unit. Inspire, train and develop the Finance team for the Business Unit. Lead Zero-based budgeting (ZBB) negotiation/budget planning. Perform financial planning, analysis, and reporting of plant conversion/financial results.
Requirements:
Master of Business Administration degree (or foreign equivalent), and five (5) years of experience in a related occupation. Work experience or academic coursework must have included: any experience analyzing and presenting financial reports, including financial statements (P&L), accounting and modeling; any experience evaluating sales potential and profitability of new products or businesses; any experience forecasting volumes and financials; any experience overseeing and leading the annual budgeting and planning process; any experience leading Zero-based budgeting negotiation and budget planning.
