Position Details
SUMMARY
Provide leadership and direction in employee relations and human resources support to the Internal Corporate functional groups.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be a business partner to leaders for assigned client groups (IT/Finance/R&D/Procurement/other) and on all HR related matters with an emphasis on organizational capabilities development
• Assist client groups in managing performance through strategic plans; goal deployment, coaching, individual development plans and performance improvement plans
• Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
• Create, improve and administer HR Company policies and procedures relating to all phases of HR activity.
• Determine implementation strategies and customization requirements for HR plans, programs, processes, and tools to ensure local business unit needs are met
• Advise business unit leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions, strategies, and large-scale change efforts that will yield sustainable business results.
• Educate managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools (e.g., compensation, benefits, development projects, EEO) to ensure knowledge transfer, enhanced organizational capability related to the management and development of people, and consistent delivery.
• Develop measurement and feedback mechanisms to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of HR, plans, programs, processes, and tools.
• Build change and implementation plans for HR development projects that ensure transfer of capability, sustainability of HR processes, programs, systems, and tools, "buy-in" of key stakeholders, and the business needs of HR partners are met.
• Respond to basic inquiries from employees, and managers regarding HR plans, programs, and processes in accordance with Company policy.
• Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
• Investigate and respond to charges of discrimination filed against the company and calls into the Open Door Line system
• Administer benefits programs, salary administration program, workers compensation, safety, etc. for client group
• Coordinate the recruitment, selection; new hire orientation, diversity, I-9's and new associate orientation for client group in partnership with Talent Acquisition
• Create A-3 project plans and implement HR strategic initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
• 5-10 years related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in HR or MBA preferred.
• Up to 10% travel
