Position Summary
This position is responsible to manage the National technical and process training for the service network of Samsung Electronics including the development, measurement, and reporting of training activities. This position will oversee the Training team consisting of both Samsung employees and Contracted Trainers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Director’s function is to be fully engaged in design, development, negotiating, coordinating, and communicating product training issues and counter measures between the Training Team and the Field Service Team.
• The Director will be responsible for developing high level strategy to achieve Training goals.
• Manage ongoing Training projects by managing project plans and action items related to all Training activity.
• Manage 5-6 regional training facilities and its operation thru regional training managers.
• Regular meetings and on-site visits with Samsung Field Service Managers with service partners to learn about current Training requirements in the field.
• Creates detailed reports which include: Training plan, Status of ongoing training projects, and Training results with it effectiveness (including down to the trainer level).
• Escalates quality issues and reports pertinent data to Senior Leadership and HQ GBM.
• Manage Samsung’s LMS system and suggest improvements for efficiency.
• Utilizes experience to motivate, assist, and develop other Training team members.
• Supports Samsung Sales, Marketing and Dealer support teams as needed to ensure end user customers service is being handled efficiently.
• Performs other duties as directed by leadership.
Background/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 14 years’ experience consumer electronics or home appliance or telecommunications or high tech product industry.
• Minimum 8 years in Strategy or Project Management position in a training capacity.
• Minimum 8 years managing a diverse team, preferably in a training environment.
• Experience gathering reports, KPI’s and providing data analytics around the performance of our service partners.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% domestically.
• MBA is preferred
Necessary Skills/Attributes
• Thinking in a disciplined, strategic, analytical, and logical manner
• Experience with LMS.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point, & Word skills required
• Ability to analyze large data sets to arrive at actionable conclusions
• Adapting the leadership style most appropriate for each solution
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
• Ability to both take strategic direction and deliver direction to team for action
