Position Overview:This role is the global commercial SME on commercial execution analytics. As part of the Growth strategy, commercial data, analytics and insights play a key role to understand current performance drivers as well as inform growth opportunities. While S&I leads decision science and analytics, this role leads the system’s thinking on what and how to measure as part of commercial execution, as well as use of that data to analyze quality of execution and impact of execution on business results. The person in this role will need to have a strong commercial background combined with strong data and analytics skills and experience within the Right Execution Daily (RED) capability. This person will need to analyze data, glean insights, and influence senior leadership and business units to address key execution opportunities in their plans. In addition, this role is responsible for shaping best practices across Business Unit level Execution Cups and leadership of the global Candler Cup program.
Function Specific Activities:
Specific Activities:
• Act as commercial SME in all global commercial metrics reporting and performance stewardship including the Commercial Metrics Center, Growth Scorecard, Factbook and Red Book
• Lead commercial data strategy development in coordination with S&I and IT
• Help the system to evolve the RED capability to be a competitive advantage by generating competition and category insights and building analytics capabilities to understand actual versus targeted performance, ROI and business drivers.
• Collaborate with S&I on analysis of commercial metrics to drive business strategy and plans through marketing and commercial analytics tools such as MVA
• Consult with Business Units to build commercial data and analytics capability tied to business and growth strategies
• Influence global Execution Cups and lead Candler Cup
• Support IT in identification and scaling of tools to measure execution performance and collect commercial execution data to inform multi-disciplinary analysis
• Provide business requirements and business input to IT to support the evolution of RED@global
• Liase with other functions (GBS, finance, IT or S&I) and external vendors to provide business requirements and business ownership for data collection, data quality, data standards and reporting
• Identify global internal and industry external best practices for analyzing execution performance to drive improved business results
• Participate in all Growth function meetings and deliverables as part of LRP and ABP planning routines
Technical/Functional Skills:
• Broad knowledge of commercial capabilities (Revenue Growth Management, Route to Market, Segmented Execution) and understanding of the Right Execution Daily capability
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to draw insights and answer business questions
• Understanding of business strategy, planning processes and how business priorities are executed in the marketplace
• Familiarity and understanding of technology and data analytics platforms to collect and process data for insights
• Experience managing data sources, data standards, data governance
• Cross-functional collaboration and influencing across all levels of the organization
• Ability to set vision and strategy and identify path forward
Education:
• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree
• Preferred Level: Master degree in business or associated field
Experience:
• Minimum Required: 5+ years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods or retail industry with knowledge of bottling/commercial operations
• Preferred Level: 10 years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry with direct experience in bottler/commercial operations
