This is a highly visible position with responsibility to provide results driven leadership to the reverse logistics function for the North American operations of Electrolux Major Appliances. The Reverse Logistics Director will have responsibility for developing and implementing strategies, and the executional capability, to deliver value-added, innovative solutions and improvements, to drive performance against key metrics. This includes overall responsibility and accountability for return rates, trends, damage, defectives, and good product returns.
Additionally, the Reverse Logistics Director will be responsible for the cross-functional coordination across critical stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales. Finally, the successful candidate will effectively link supply chain daily operations with forward strategy, processes, and analytics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive end-to-end returns processes from RMA authorization through freight returns, returned goods processing, and disposition of returned product including scrap and damaged goods sales.
• Identify and implement industry and organizational best practices; and drive required change to gain efficiencies.
• Leverage data to determine business impact to reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Identify and implement strategies and tactics to drive improvement across KPIs including, but not limited to, Damage Rate, RMA Process Rate, Cost per Unit (Processing, Repair, etc.), Cost Reduction, Time to Process Credit, Cycle Time, Recovery Rate on Returned Goods, and Contract Compliance.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships among key internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and coach a team of direct reports; clarifying roles, executing the strategy, and delivering results.
• Ensure required process documentation is maintained including controls and reporting
• Foster safety, diversity, integrity, and respect across the organization.
Minimum Qualification
• Bachelor degree required, advanced degree and/or specific certifications (APICS, CSCMP, etc.) preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in logistics with at least 5 years of experience with returned goods and reverse logistics process management
• 30 -50% travel required
