The Director, Feasibility Insights Group Leader will lay the foundation for strategic, scalable business operations, feasibility related data and technology, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This experienced data, technology, and operations leader will deliver and enhance the future vision of Global Clinical Development Operations (GCDO) and the Feasibility Center of Excellence. This position is a business focused role and is driven by business objectives, with importance to work both independently and collaboratively and will be empowered to identify areas for feasibility capability growth and implement strategies to facilitate that growth. Play a key role on the Feasibility leadership team with special focus on effective product development, training, and launch of enabling technologies, creation and use of a feasibility-specific data library, and coordinated data, process, and tool subject matter expert (SME) relationships. Establish a team that will effectively support Global Feasibility Leads and Data Scientists, ensuring successful and impactful presence across GCDO. Execution of innovative Feasibility initiatives, using tactics from the Feasibility capability development implementation plan and supporting projects.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Gather strategic and tactical requirements from stakeholders across the company, prioritizing and selecting key initiatives, gathering buy-in, and executing implementation across organizational and functional groups.
• Establish a global portfolio driven approach to deliver program, asset, protocol, and site Feasibility strategy and related investments.
• Optimize resource supply/demand across the capability to maximize productivity.
• Drive strategic initiatives forward; a key initiative is to increase the scalability of our capability, tooling and organizational infrastructure.
• Implementation of Feasibility technology; from vendor selection, requirements definition, adoption, training, testing and deployment of the application.
• Represent Feasibility to drive infrastructure/tool enhancements and changes to capability technology in collaboration with R&D IT, Enabling Business Information Solutions (EBIS), and other technology representatives.
• Develop a service-oriented team to enhance feasibility data quality, provide accurate reference data, and apply analytical and technological tactics for increased predictability of clinical trial planning.
• Progress innovation and creativity in tools, techniques, and technologies to enable improved communication and business outcomes.
• Improve variability and predictability of recruitment rate predictions, clinical trial enrollment timelines, cost estimates, and enhance risk mitigation strategies.
• Drive the performance of the operations of the Feasibility capability in terms of both business satisfaction and successful relationships with our GCDO and Contract Research Organization (CRO) teams.
• Help with hiring and developing the growing Feasibility team.
• Enforce Feasibility capability standards across GCDO and driving recognition in the business.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of overall work experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of cross-functional project management experience is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience leading projects is required.
• Strong portfolio/project management skills required.
• A minimum of 3 years of people management experience is preferred.
• Experience leading and developing leaders is preferred.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry is preferred.
• Feasibility experience is preferred.
• Marketing experience is preferred.
• Change management experience is required.
• Experience managing budgets required.
• Knowledge of financial modeling is preferred.
• Must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Must have creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills
• Must have strong management skills and leadership capabilities.
• The ability to manage and deliver on complex projects within budget and timelines is required.
• The ability to collaborate with all levels of management and influence decision-making in a global, matrix environment is required.
• This position will require up to 25% domestic and international travel.
