The Role
We are looking to hire a product management leader with deep experience in applied advanced analytics to help define and drive our strategy in this domain.. The Hitachi Vantara portfolio is blessed with a unique portfolio of capabilities and the company has an aggressive vision to create a differentiated data and analytics platform that will enable ground-breaking applications for IT and OT transformation. This product management leader will play a key role in the vision, strategy and execution behind this new offering.
Job Responsibilities
• Define product strategy and vision for productized data science, machine learning, and AI capabilities.
• Be the domain expert with master of both customer needs and product capabilities
• Evangelize product and roadmap with customers, analysts, and field organizations
• Manage pricing and packaging decisions
• Identify key partners and work with technical alliances to maintain strong relationships
• Work cross-functionally in dynamic organization
• Manage and mentor other product managers
Candidate Requirements (Must-Have)
• 10+ years of work experience,
• 3-5 yrs of product management experience or demonstrated product management aptitude
• 5+ yrs of practical experience developing algorithms or implementing advanced analytics in large scale IT or product operations
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience/aptitude
• Deep experience with data integration, “big data” analytics, IoT, or “Edge” processing
• Ability to work in San Francisco, Santa Clara, Boston, Orlando, or Lisbon offices
• Ability to travel 25% - 50% of the time
• Hands-on AND big-picture; IQ AND EQ
• Experience as a manager and desire to develop less experienced product managers
