Job Description
Pro-actively direct all activities in the Logistics Planning (customers, production, suppliers), Logistics Projects, Physical Logistics departments to reach best-in-class logistics performance (quality, delivery, costs).
Lead continuous improvement process (CIP) activities, motivating all associates within supply chain to participate actively in CIP on a day-to-day basis.
Report to and communicate with executive management (plant, business unit, lead plants, and customers) regarding logistics performance and project status on a regular basis.
Provide assistance and support to subordinate managers to achieve departmental and Company goals. Lead periodic meetings to build team spirit and communicate Company updates.
Manage Human Resource and policy deployment activities within area.
Counsel and develop employees in order to aid them in achieving their career goals.
Interpret and administer Company policy.
Participate in inter-business unit projects where applicable.
Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Logistics/Supply Chain Management with 6+ years related experience in Supply Chain Management/BPS; or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Logistics/Supply Chain Management with 8+ years related experience in Supply Chain Management/BPS; or equivalent work experience of 15+ years in various Supply Chain functions.
• 5+ years Leadership Experience leading 20+ Associates
• 3+ years Customer Planning experience
• 3+ years Purchasing experience
• 3+ years Production Planning experience
• Exceptional Leadership skills in line with Bosch Competence Model.
• Exceptional Continuous Improvement Process skills in Direct and Indirect areas.
• Strong pro-active, analytical, problem-solving, planning and organization skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Logistics/Manufacturing principles (i.e. Bosch Production Systems)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; proficient in SAP or other ERP
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills (including German language skills)
• Physical Logistics and Outsourcing experience
• Experience with Make-to-Order Production Systems
• Experience with i4.0
