JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Strategic Corporate Alliances & Partnerships will develop and oversee the execution of revenue-driving programs and initiatives, evangelizing Panasonic Avionics’ (PAC) value proposition within partners and facilitating the partner's value proposition within PAC, driving partner events and sales campaigns for the Americas region, developing joint assets, and representing PAC in partner meetings and at industry events. Key to the position is effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including sales, services, alliances, marketing, legal, and operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Successfully negotiate with Fortune 500 companies to leverage Panasonic connectivity on aircrafts by acquiring sponsorship from these companies. Sponsorship will lead to the company sponsoring an airline’s Wi-Fi offering relieving the airline of this cost but providing the sponsor with captive audience of 2,000+ connected aircrafts.
• Leverage Panasonic connectivity product and services platform to generate value for our company, sponsors and airlines.
• Source, negotiate, close and oversee execution of strategic partnership projects that are scalable, generate value for key stakeholders, and are profitable for Panasonic
• Maintain constant communication with all key stakeholders to make sure everyone is aligned at every step of the process
• Grow Panasonic ecosystem. Identify, develop, and engage strategic partnerships that generate value for key stakeholders, can scale, and are profitable.
• Drive business development process end to end, from creation, to negotiation, to coordination of implementation of agreements with partners.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders including executive management, legal, marketing and others to respond quickly to new opportunities and make sure everyone is aligned at every step of the process. This is a cross-functional role requiring strong communication skills.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Proven track record of identifying and forming new strategic partnership and corporate sponsorship.
• Existing networking and connections with Fortune 500 companies is a plus
• Natural leader and motivator
• Exceptional communicator; strong written and oral communications in English; additional languages are a plus
• Digital native with strong business acumen who can call on C-Suite as required.

• Ideally worked in a corporate environment in a role such as innovation, and/or leading other intrapreneurial efforts, former experience launching companies and initiatives is a plus
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
• Over 6 years of professional experience, including an operating role in a large corporation in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate innovation roles
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Domestic and international travel up to 30%
