Responsibilities:
• Art direct creative development of all aspects of assigned products from concept through product launch at retail.
• Performs pre-press review of digital files for accuracy and approves intermediate/final production samples.
• Work directly with key account buyers, sales managers/reps to develop private label programs to meet their specific needs and requests.
• Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows to keep current with market trends and industry information.
• Research, identify and track design, color and market trends to apply to development of products.
• Make and present line presentations to sales managers/reps and marketing.
• Recruit new freelance artists to ensure diversity of looks and broad range of styles within product lines.
• Work with Creative and Marketing Leaders and Sales team to utilize sales data and feedback from key buyers.
Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or equivalent.
• Strong design capabilities with a minimum of 5 years experience in Art Direction. Prior experience working in the social expression industry and/or consume products industry, with knowledge of printing processes a plus.
• High level of skill, speed, and accuracy in the Macintosh platform including Adobe Suite & Microsoft Office.
• Crafting ability with experience in making product prototypes.
• Knowledge of pre-press, manufacturing, printing, freelance art direction, and experience working with art vendors essential.
