The Director, Global Trade is a broadly experienced trade compliance professional with strong operational and regulatory knowledge of U.S. and Canadian import and export compliance. The Director, Global Trade will be responsible for all aspects of Henkel Corporation’s North American Global Trade Group, and will be the key corporate resource for all matters relating to import and export compliance in the region.

Who we are looking for
• A highly qualified trade compliance professional to direct the day to day operations of the Henkel Global Trade Group, insuring compliance with U.S.and Canadian laws and regulations for the import and export of Henkel goods and technology.
• The individual will lead the department’s compliance with U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of State regulations; U.S. Customs and Canada Customs regulations; insure all requirements for export licensing and authorizations for OGAs in scope for NA import and export regulations are met; serve as Henkel’s primary authority in interpreting these regulations.
• They will develop and implement appropriate policies, strategies, and procedures to enhance Henkel’s export and import compliance programs and implement new regulatory requirements, taking into account latest agency/regulatory developments. Train, mentor and develop Henkel’s trade compliance team members.
• BS / BA in International Trade or other relevant course of study, advanced degree preferred, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant corporate trade compliance experience with multi-national corporations, including experience in chemicals and/or consumer products, with at least 5 years experience in U.S. State Department licensing and controls of technical data; Customs brokerage license a plus.
• Excellent understanding of SAP R3 and GTS trade software and people management experience.
