Position Purpose
The Director Supply Chain Excellence is responsible for development and deployment of the ISC Business Strategy through great execution and implementation of Mondelēz International Continuous Improvement program (known as IL6S – Integrated Lean Six Sigma), building capability across the organization and conducting E2E value chain loss analyses across NA categories and business.
This position is responsible to understand and translate the ISC strategy in each category and create a Master Plan for each Operation using all 11 Pillars belong to the Mondelez IL6S Programme driving the Targets/Goals settings and deployments. The master plan of plants will reflect application of pillar work process, guaranteeing organization capabilities improvement and incorporation of OPModel driving new culture towards HPWS (High Performance Work Systems)
In the future this position will also manage the External Manufacturing network for all categories in North America, working close to categories and procurement to define best strategy and solutions in cost, service and quality to attend categories needs.
This position is responsible to coordinate the implementation of manufacturing operations design (Factory of the Future), coordinating the Master Plans to implement process, systems and build capabilities to reach a lean and effective organization.
This position is responsible to design and implement a strategy to transform Maintenance from cost to Competitive Advantage
Additionally, this position is responsible for sustaining the end-to-end value chain loss analysis (E2E) methodology for North America at advanced stages of IL6S Programme. This methodology starts with identification of value drivers for consumers and customers, guides portfolio strategy and SKU rationalization, challenges non-value-added cost drivers across the value chain, identifies key cost reduction projects, and develops the roadmap to optimize the value chain for North America. Specifically, E2E leaders provide training, development, mentoring, and facilitation to region based resources responsible for the implementation and/or project leadership of region initiatives that improve revenue, product margin, cash flow performance and/or drive growth opportunities.
The individual must have the ability to challenge conventional thinking and paradigms, to influence broadly across the commercial units and global supply chain, and to effectively lead change management. Deep knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), working knowledge of Six Sigma/DMAIC methodologies, and demonstrated experience with leading a manufacturing plant to a JIPM excellence award are required. This position will partner across the Regional Supply Chain Leaders, and all other regional Supply Chain Excellence Directors.
Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities
1. Lead the implementation of Mondelez E2E IL6S Programme across all categories within North America.
Drive the company cultural and management changes to reach 100% of employee engagement and mind set of ZERO loss.
Promote internal and external benchmark exercises against industry best in class supply chain industries and guarantee internal reapplications.
Lead E2E value chain loss analyses for Region Category Team sponsored initiatives and train/mentor region end-to-end resources to support region category initiatives to improve Revenue, product margin, cash-flow and growth improvement plus identify opportunities for growth.
Lead the implementation of Future Organization Model (Factory of the Future) creating Master Plan to build capability in the organization (Manufacturing operations) and identifying Low Cost Automation as way to improve cost performance, ability to identify NAV activities and to lead organization to reach High Performance Organization status
Build a Regional IL6S Pillar overlapping structure to build capability, deploy concepts and tools and share best practices and work collaboratively in common losses
Build capability through training, coaching, performance evaluations, and talent acquisition.
Drive Asset Reliability improvement to achieve high level of performance, reliability and utilization.
Comprises 60% of the Role
2. Lead the Manufacturing Systems implementation aligned with Global recommendations and protocols, in order to guarantee right systems are being implementing to help the organization to reach High Performance Organization, allowing people to have reliable information in a real time for fast decision making process.
Comprises 10% of the Role
3. Lead the External Manufacturing Network NA to guarantee best choice on cost, quality and service level.
Support categories to identify best solution for new SKUs introduction, supporting Make or Buy studies, qualifying new suppliers, and coordinate current supplier performance to reach best level on service, cost and quality on this external supplier.
Support transfer knowledge to external suppliers to reach Vertical Start Ups in the productions of New Skus reaching the Business cases targets
Comprises 20% of the Role (on initial Phases of IL6S this is NOT in scope)
4. Champion the standardization of Global Supply Chain KPI's, definitions and the cascading
from GSCLT to Region to Shop Floor.
Lead the W1N Road Map and process governance for all 15 Capabilities to be deployed in the region cross category.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Knowledge including: education, qualifications and training
• Bachelor/Master degree required, preferably in Engineering
• Advanced level of English, Spanish considered good skill to have
• Clear ability to understand business needs, develop and deploy a strategy to reach business goals
• In depth expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies, such as: TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and High Performance Organization
• Ability to work with ambiguity, breakthrough thinking, keep people accountable and directing others
• Ability to travel extensively – 70%
Skills
• Places as highest priority the Safety of people, process and product
• Demonstrated ability to influence and facilitate change across an organization
• Strong working knowledge of Cultural and Management Changes
• Extensive software capability including Excel, Word, Minitab (or other statistical software) and MS Project
• Exceptional coaching, communication, interpersonal & leadership skills

Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cultural and Management Changes, practitioner of Continuous Improvement methodology such as: TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Experience in leading areas of Supply Chain, such as: Manufacturing Operations, Planning, Logistic/Distribution and Procurement
• Make or buy studies and analysis and construction of business cases
• Experience on project management and governance systems
• Strong influencing skill, ability to direct the program without formal authority
