Role Description
The Global Insights Director, Brand Building is a key leadership role within our Strategy, Insights, and Analytics (SIA) function to lead the advancement of consumer-centricity in building iconic global brands and in achieving creative excellence at Mondelēz. Reporting to the Global Head of Strategic Insights, you will manage a talented team of 3 professionals, develop as well as lead a community of practice globally, and be a key player in the SIA leadership team. You will also closely collaborate with our Global Chief Marketing Officer, the VP of Global Brand Equity, and the VP of Global Media & Digital.
Key Accountabilities:
• Infuse consumer-centricity in the development of global brand positioning and architecture to drive a distinctive and compelling narrative across consumer touchpoints;
• Shape key business growth priorities to illuminate the brand strategy in achieving financial targets and accelerating brand relevancy;
• Create Insights Toolkits and Playbooks in building iconic brands, providing global support to codify and scale leading methods that inspire continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness;
• Drive a culture of deep empathy for the current consumer as well as for the aspirational growth targets that are internalized by business partners and become a foundational element for key decisions. This visceral understanding includes consumer lifestyles, motivations, needs, and passion points;
• Strengthen global partner relationships with key insights and media providers, including FB & Google, as well as industry thought leaders to be on the cutting edge of the changing digital-first and data-enabled consumer landscape. This includes setting an ambitious global learning agenda objectives through JBP;
• Design a ‘test and learn’ continuous feedback loop across our on-line and off-line marketing vehicles to identify opportunities for targeted messaging and audiences;
• Diagnose forward-looking brand health indicators and barriers across the consumer experience journey and provide recommendations to maximize awareness, acquisition, engagement, and retention;
• Evangelize meaningful insights that connect the dots across human behavior, creative excellence, and business strategy.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred;
• 10+ years in brand-building leadership roles;
• Consumer packaged goods (CPG) or Agency planner who considered best-in-class in building iconic brands;
• Strategic, decisive, and inspiring leader as well as a visionary thinker;
• High bias for action, driving strategic outcomes through influence, collaboration & organizational savviness;
• Proficient in best-in-class digital insights tools/practices and can successfully deploy in a complex and highly-matrixed organization;
• Strong passion and empathy for consumers;
• Values brevity and impact over data-dumps and long-winded decks;
• Obsessed with building iconic and consumer-centric brand experiences.
You need to have relevant knowledge:
• Direct experience working across developed and emerging markets, effectively liaising across countries and cultures;
• Experience in driving a digital transformation in insights in order to operate at the cutting-edge of technology and shape future interactions with consumers;
• Creative eye for persuasive, provocative, and effective communication.
