Director of Business Transformation, Global ERP PMO

Reporting to the VP (head) of Products and Services, Supply Chain IT and working in partnership with internal and external teams, Director of Business Transformation, Global ERP will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the ERP initiative across the organization by leading the PMO Office. He/she will be accountable for collaborating broadly across workstreams to ensure timely, transformational and within budget ERP delivery. He/she will be responsible for managing established ERP project team goals and objectives, developing and implementing project management guidelines, managing project standards, project scope, timeline, risk identification and mitigation, quality management, project budget, reporting and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
• Lead PMO Office for the global program, across Business and IT. This will have a team of 5 direct reports including one manager with 5 directs for a total team size of 10.
• Manage budgeting for the Program (~$50M annually)
• Hold Program staff accountable through oversight of program planning, mobilization and management of teams; facilitation of buy-in of proposed scope, management of program financials, scope, risk and schedule
• Oversee assembling of project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing a budget and schedule to ensure timely completion of the project
• Manage multiple vendors delivering the program (Big Consultancy firms), including SOWs
• Work with implementation partners and consultants to facilitate success, ensure accountability, execute timeliness, maintain governance and continuously facilitate change as you deliver on-time, quality results
• Manage the project change request process and facilitate the approval process for requests submitted by Vendors as needed
• Maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives
• Actively manage escalations and issues, identifying risks and mitigation plans, escalate unresolved issues to IT leadership
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
• Develop and maintain project documentation throughout all stages of the project lifecycle
• Facilitate the decision-making of key partner, operational, and executive steering committee meetings
• Report project progress, budget and status to the appropriate levels and recommend corrective action when necessary
Requirements:
• Prior experience implementing process-led ERP transformation or complex, large-scale transformation projects for large organizations
• Strong functional knowledge of business process frameworks (such as APQC)
• Ability to influence and communicate at the Executive level and affect change at all levels of the organization
• Previous experience working with external vendors and big consultancy firms
• Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization.
• Needs to be capable of joining a project mid-effort, quickly assessing and taking control
• Must be knowledgeable of both waterfall and agile methods
• Hands on experience managing project risk, cost, schedule, quality, testing, and communications
• Understanding of, and the ability to navigate in, large complex organizations. Is comfortable working in an environment of uncertainty and complexity
• Demonstrated ability to work with business and IT partners of all levels; sensitivity and understanding required for successful cultural relations
• Ability to effectively, and independently, manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail; requires strong organizational, planning and time management skills
• Excellent analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions in collaboration with the Project Team
• Ability to make decisions under pressure; oversee communication and implementation of decisions across all necessary organizational units
• Ability to recognize strategic opportunities; strong research and knowledge of changes in business operations
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree, preferably in Business Administration, or Project Management. MBA or higher degree preferred.
• Functional experience in at least two of the following roles: Strategy, Operations, Marketing, IT or consulting
• Knowledge of MS Project (or similar Project Management tools)
