Director, Digital Experience (Consultant Platforms)
The Opportunity:
Rodan + Fields is looking for a Director, Digital Experience (Consultant Platforms) focused on evolving our Consultant experience and supporting our Field Development organization with the tools they need to drive their business and to create best-in-class customer experiences.
As part of the Digital Experience team, this leader will be responsible for defining strategy and vision for platforms and tools used by our Independent Consultants globally. This leader will compose and evangelize a compelling product vision for a differentiated, consumer-grade digital experience that empowers independent Rodan + Fields consultants around the globe to achieve viral success. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Leadership, Engineering, and User Experience teams and collaborate with other functional leaders to define and own product strategy and execution for Consultant platforms and operationalize the product delivery strategy for complex multi-platformed programs and enterprise solutions using primarily a multi-cloud Salesforce architecture.

This role requires great vision, design sensibility, technical depth, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This leader will be core to the Digital Experience leadership team defining strategy and vision for moving the business forward, a strong operator adept in developing a product development framework & culture for delivering high performing digital products.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the product vision for the Digital experience team on the consultant platforms. Be the owner and advocate for balancing the business desires and technical realties in building the digital features and functions to move the Rodan + Fields business forward as it aggressively scales.
• Identify technology trends and digital product opportunities for Rodan + Fields based on user, business, market & tech inputs – with a thorough understanding of the Rodan + Fields business, digital strategy, and vision.
• Provide leadership on product processes; partner with functional leaders to set end-to-end process for defining, prioritizing, building, and releasing functionality that is foundational for Rodan + Field’s long-term growth.
• Establish a framework for building out digital product function on complex programs. Leverage best practices and proven processes, templates and tools to build up a strong Product Management and User experience delivery system of high quality, high value digital products. Clarify roles & responsibilities, communicate and evangelize the Digital Product Management role.
• Partner closely with Engineering to develop best methodology for teams to deliver successfully. Identify and optimize intake and release processes and long term organizational structures for these teams to be successful.
• Drive & collaborate to develop a process for prioritizing business needs and defining scope, develop a strong on-going feature roadmap that balances wide variety of business partner desires and needs. Manage expectations of partners and executive team of projects on-going status and success.
• Provide strong leadership, team building, mentoring & coaching the team. A positive force that leads by example in embracing the on-going changes in scaling the high growth digital business. Lead recruiting and hiring of new talent to Digital experience team.
• Champion a data driven culture using data to inform roadmap decisions, measure business KPIs, and drive feature development. Work closely with web analytics to make sure feature are tagged appropriately to measure results and define future needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years of digital product management experience (global experience a plus)
• 5-7 years management experience with experience leading a team and providing hands on coaching and mentoring
• Retail, beauty, and/or consumer experience highly preferred (direct selling experience a plus), and/or ability to demonstrate how past product work has directly contributed to driving a business forward
• BA/BS (CS, Statistics, or related field), MBA a plus.
• Demonstrated success working with various, cross-functional, internal and external groups to deliver meaningful results on time and on budget with limited direction. Examples of successful working relationships and processes with engineering, design and UX teams.
• Agile experience highly preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Innovative, out-of-the-box thinking paired with strong delivery execution
• Solid knowledge of product management best practices and product development lifecycle
• Strong communication skills (proactively and effectively communicates up and down an organization); incredibly collaborative; demonstrated ability to influence others in and across teams and organizations
• Technical fluency, and demonstrated ability to translate strategic vision into compelling features and products
