Mission
As a Levy Restaurants Director of Sales, you will be responsible for achieving annual sales and profits related to group sales events, while working in partnership with operations to deliver "The Levy Difference."
Major Areas of Responsibility
All performance standards are achieved through the use of the Core Signatures guidelines.
Operations
• As part of your job duties, you are required to customarily engage in sales activities outside of your location for the purposes of increasing sales revenue
• Targets group/catering accounts, markets, or segments with emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation
• Assists in setting standards to ensure all catering services exceed guest expectations
• Directs the overall communication efforts of the department to ensure internal guest understanding and external guest "World Class" experience
• Analyzes feedback from clients to continually enhance services
• Understands industry trends and competition to continually grow revenue
• Oversees development of advertising and marketing sales programs
• Leads and directs the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives and marketing plans that are venue and market appropriate
• Ability to analyze sales trends, client needs and wants and up and coming innovation
• Strong ability to present and communicate with partners and clients
• Can identify lucrative sales targets and participate in local networking and outreach
• Generates new business opportunities and organic growth by developing strategic relationships and driving customer satisfaction
• Controls
• Assures the continual process of revenue development
• Promotes the sale of profitable Levy services
• Maximizes revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage
• Provides annual, monthly and twelve-month forecasts of expected business activity
• Responsible for managing marketing budget
• Develop, implement and execute all aspects of the marketing strategic plan
• Completes competitive analysis of similar services and annual business review in accordance with Core Signatures
• Ensures required department reports are completed and information is compiled at month end closing
• Ensures team members adhere to Levy Restaurants Company guidelines as stated in team member training manual and employee handbook
• Achieves assigned sales targets and budget goals
• Ensures that all security, safety and sanitation standards are achieved
• Ensures all catering services exceed customer expectations
• Directs the overall communication efforts of the department to ensure internal guest understanding and compliance and external guest’s expectation of service
• Catering Sales gathers feedback from clients or planners to continually enhance services
• Continues to build sales through new relationships and repeat business
• Develops and executes marketing programs to drive business in accordance with Core Signatures
• Provides tracking and analysis of sales initiatives
• Ensures administrative compliance to Core Signatures
• Maintains a strong relationship with the client during the coordination, execution and final payment and evaluation stages of services. Maintains a strong relationship with vendor partners during the coordination and execution of events.
Team
• Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
• Conducts regular scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members
• Interviews, hires, trains and develops sales team members according to Levy Restaurants guidelines
• Displays a positive attitude towards team members
• Mentors sales managers to develop their skills and leadership abilities
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with operating departments to encourage client satisfaction and feedback of services provided to clients
• Promotes a positive work environment, maximizing productivity and morale

Job Requirements
• Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests and team members by speaking and comprehending English
• English reading, writing, math and computer skills required
• Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
• Stamina to work 60 hours or more per week
• Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates
• Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
• Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains
• Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
• Ability to use hands in using office equipment, including the computer system
• Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence
• Close vision and focus capabilities to view computer screen and company documents
