Business Innovation Director - GTM
Job Description
**Relocation is currently being evaluated for this role**
This role will Lead the Lean Process and Role Design Team within the GTM organization. The Lean team owns transformational initiatives that will drive process efficiency for the frontline. More specifically, the Lean Design and Process Director will be responsible for working directly with sales leadership and frontline stakeholders to develop future transformational initiatives, lead Lean project teams, and implement Lean solutions that unlock process efficiency within (and beyond) the PSP horizon. This leader will be focused on current and future frontline needs, but will be required to understand and collaborate with functions across the entire value chain.
• Lead a team of 6 Individuals to drive Lean Process across the organization
• Identify and lead improvement effort to achieve 2% frontline time savings
• Value Stream Collaboration: In collaboration with team, establish current state Value Stream Maps (VSM) and develop future state based on strategic business objectives
• Create strong partnerships with HQ team members that own and influence processes, including Store Operations Process Owners, Store Merchants, Merchandising Planning, Food & Beverage and Supply Chain
• Leading work streams as part of process optimization and design to identify impactful opportunities for process improvements
• Own and lead future state action plan realization
• Take a strategic approach to ensure the design and implementation of optimization tools within the business is performed to high standard and consistent with PepsiCo’s Lean Strategy
• Execute analytical monitoring of process improvements for sustainment; initiate immediate corrective actions as needed
• Recommend, model, and analyze changes to In-Store processes and technology to minimize labor and maximize efficiency
• Coach process teams and on standard Lean systems, tools, techniques, mindsets and behaviors
• Support development of new technologies as subject matter expert and ensure technology designs improve frontline efficiency
• Create and/or revise all documentation associated with processes
• Teach Lean methodologies and techniques
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7-10+ years of practical experience
• Strong People Leadership Experience
• Strong math, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and/or demonstrated knowledge in utilizing various engineered optimization methods (TQM, Lean, Six Sigma)
• Experience in developing engineered standards preferred
• Forward-thinking, innovative, and well versed in current and future customer/marketplace needs
• Proven ability to collaborate, lead, facilitate, and communicate with teams across a broad range of education, experience, and functional spectrums
• Willing to take risks, challenge the status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances
• Strong ability to identify, define, and resolve ambiguous problems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage and adjust to multiple priorities in fast paced environment
• Ability to manage projects effectively
