Summary
Reporting to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Finance Director for IT, Digital & Customer Experience will partner with the Information Technology (IT), Digital and Customer Experience organizations to provide meaningful, accurate and timely information to enhance visibility on investments, promote decision-making on project management, foster a culture of performance and accountability and deliver against strategic goals. This role will assist the CIO and Chief Digital Officer manage a global expense budget of $140 million dollars and will be responsible for the integrity of the financials on all project expenditures including capital requests of about $30 million a year. Responsibilities include managing all FP&A aspects for these functions globally - closing process, monthly reporting and variance analysis, Forecasting, Strategic Plan and Annual Operating plan processes – and partnering with Functional leadership to continuously optimize efficiency, costs and services.The Finance Director has 3 direct reports and is part of the IT & Digital Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
Major responsibilities for this position will focus on:
• Lead monthly analytical review and present variance analysis of actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior year at varying levels of the IT & Digital organization. Identify corrective actions and ensure implementation
• Lead the monthly Forecast, the Annual Operating Plan, and the Strategic Plan processes.
• Design and implement financial and project reporting to support functional expense review. Institute appropriate controls to ensure integrity of our IT and Digital portfolio financial information.
• Provide analysis and guidance on investments and make-good analysis of actual versus expected results. Provide sound financial guidance to functional leaders to ensure financial objectives are aligned with strategic goals and operational division plans, and provide recommendations on the prioritization process
• Partner with the Divisions and the IT & Digital organization to ensure investments made in Digital are delivered according to plan and have the financial return expected
• Identify and lead process improvement opportunities aimed at enhancing the quality of the financial reporting process
• Maintain excellent relationships and work closely with functional leadership and their teams to increase efficiency, optimize costs and service level.
• Prepare financial modeling and sensitivity analysis to support large, complex contract negotiations.
• Work closely with the Corporate controlling team to ensure appropriate accounting treatment of the IT procured spend – Software, Hardware, Services, Lease agreements, etc. - and make best use of accounting guidelines around capitalization to reduce operating costs. Prepare routine ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested
• Manage and develop a team of 2 Financial Analysts and 1 Manager
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required; MBA preferred
• 10+ years finance experience, with FP&A and operational analysis strengths
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working directly with senior management
• System proficiency including Hyperion Smart View, SAP and BW
• Excellent Project Management Skills
• Strong analytical skills including financial planning analysis
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles
• Effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team player with team building skills
• Comfortable with driving change within the team and out to the organization
