Overall Purpose of the Role:
ADT is seeking a Director, Mass Media. This person will be involved in the marketing strategy, media planning, media analysis, and operational management processes, with a focus on ADT’s mass media advertising (Cable TV, Broadcast TV, Full Episode Player, Product Placements, Terrestrial Radio, Streaming Radio, Podcasts, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee offline media planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of cross-channel breakthrough media programs, with a focus on driving leads and sales in an efficient manner
• As a communications planning steward, manage integration across internal teams (Business Units, Go-to-Market) and agencies to create and implement initiatives that will successfully drive qualified lead generation with high sales conversion rates, supported by ongoing evaluation, revisions, and tracking of all activities
• Manage campaign tracking, forecasting, competitive media analysis, and optimization through the creation and issuance of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in collaboration with analytics team
• Work with agencies and media partners to identify and evaluate marketplace trends and potential opportunities, providing thorough POVs
• Maximize impact of holistic communications ecosystem, integrating paid media with other channels including social, direct mail, and content marketing
• Lead efforts in managing 1st and 3rd party multi-touch attribution and media mix modeling to maximize return on investment of investments across all communication channels
• Collaborate with marketing management team to continually evolve customer acquisition and retention strategies that support the company’s vision, mission, and strategies
• Serve as key liaison with internal business partners (including legal, compliance, and sourcing) and agencies in managing scopes of work to ensure delivery of best in class services.
• Steward budget, authorization, invoicing, and forecasting processes across channels
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
• 10 years or more of relevant agency/client side experience in media planning or buying
• Experience with direct marketing, lead generation, and client acquisition is a must
• Project management expertise with budgets, timelines, analyses and other reports
• Experience tracking spend and in-market performance of media channels to help optimize programs and results.
• Experience managing agencies and vendors
• Success executing complex, large scale, fast moving campaigns flawlessly
• Proven ability to translate observations into actionable insights, along with ability to receive strategic inputs and translate to an execution plan intended to produce results
• History of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external business partners
• Analytical thinking skills, with demonstrated comfort ranging from financial/expense budget management to participation in content development and reviews
• Independent worker also able to effectively work with and lead cross-functional teams.
