The Position
Currently seeking a Director of Strategy and Finance (DSF) to support VP/GM of Samsung’s largest global account across a spectrum of strategic business management and financial planning functions. The DSF will help plan and direct all strategic, financial, and administrative operations for the account team and act as a point of contact between Samsung functional leaders, external customers and regional/HQ stakeholders. The DSF is responsible for a wide range of including, but not limited to, key business processes, business and financial operations, project management, information technology and development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Plans and directs the business. Assists VP/GM to prioritize and focus efforts of self and others towards areas of highest impact.
• Tracks strategic initiatives including the Carrier’s JBP (Joint business plan). Monitors progress towards meeting goals, achieving benchmarks and ensures follow-through of responsible team members.
• Facilitation of strategic planning and goal setting activities including performance measurement, analytics, and reporting systems.
• Serves as central point of communication and coordination for internal queries on organization and project updates. Sets agendas and crafts communications. Provides continual information to team and stakeholders to ensure actions to address key issues. Coordinate with cross functional teams globally to ensure deliverables executed successfully, on-time, and on-budget.
• Oversees financial management processes and systems (capital and expense budgets) to ensure account runs effectively and efficiently (within budgets and in adherence to policies, laws and regulations. Maintains proper records and documentation).
• Drives effective Project/Program Management on all cross functional projects.
• Leads project meetings, meets with team and key stakeholders to ensure completion of organizational objectives and to foster strong, collaborative working relationships.
• Supports VP/GM in partner/customer/field meetings and ensures follow-up actions are documented, completed, and results recorded.
Background/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of directly related experience is required
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience communicating cross-functionally, domestically, globally and up & down an organization
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information quickly
• Microsoft Standard Office Suite and advanced expertise in PowerPoint/Excel
• Demonstrated program management ability, proven experience planning and executing large scale projects and/or events
• Experience collaborating with senior executives across a large organization

Skills and Qualifications
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
