Senior Director Global Marketing– Acclarent
Acclarent, part of the Johnson & Johnson’s Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS) Group, is recruiting for Senior Director Global Marketing located in Irvine, CA. Travel up to 30% is required.
Chronic sinusitis affects 3 million Americans each year and five per cent of the U.S. adult population suffers from a phenomenon referred to as Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (blocked ears / ear pain). Acclarent is dedicated to supporting otolaryngologists with minimally-invasive ENT technologies that relieve this suffering as effectively and painlessly as possible. For more than a decade Acclarent has pioneered innovative technologies, including the balloon dilation system that’s been used to treat more than one million patients.
This year, Acclarent launched TruDi™. TruDi™ leverages the groundbreaking CARTO® cardiac mapping technology built for electrophysiologists who navigate complex and dynamic chambers within the beating heart, with virtually no direct visualization.
The Senior Director Global Marketing will be a member of the Acclarent Management Board and the CSS US Commercial Leadership Team. The Senior Director will have direct responsibility for accelerating growth in US channels through market expansion and commercial acceleration. In this role, you will also have dotted line accountability for the CSS Commercial Centers of Excellence (Customer and Internal Education Solutions and Commercial Operations).
Responsibilities include:
• Provide regional insights for global strategy development
• Translate global strategy into regional execution and develop necessary capability to drive revenue growth
• Create future sustainable competitive advantage by continuing to evaluate our business models in the US and value propositions
• Responsible for informing portfolio needs to Global Strategic Marketing as a key stakeholder
• Responsible for managing the Core business platforms in the US, ensuring momentum and focus on execution
• Execute regionally on the global product pipeline over next 12 to 30 months as it relates to the US region
• Continue to strengthen and develop talent and leadership pipeline across the US region
• Partner closely with the CLT and the Global Strategic Marketing organization.
• Responsible to collaborate with external partners to execute and deliver on commitments
• Lead Contract Pricing Committee
Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree is required; advanced degree is preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of business experience is required
• A minimum of 6 years of Marketing experience is required
• Global experience is preferred
• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred
• Previous Medical Device and ENT experience is preferred
• Track record of achieving business results over time including sustained business growth is required
• At least four years of experience in leading teams (sales and/or marketing) to drive business value and execute on strategy in differing market segments is required
• Demonstrated success of collaboration with critical internal and external stakeholders and substantial customer interface experience are required
• Broad business acumen and full P&L management experience are preferred
• Track record of driving necessary strategic change to meet changing business needs, and exploring new business models are required
• Multi-function experience; understands business processes, high negotiation skills and has passion to achieve sustained, superior results are preferred
• Proven track record of translating global strategies into regional execution, developing marketing capabilities including market insights, understanding KOL development and regulatory environment are preferred
• Strong track record of developing talent, including deep pipelines and strong leadership teams is required
• Experience successfully managing in a matrix environment is required
• Experienced setting and communicating strategy to executive leadership is required
