Position Summary:
The Senior Director, IT Operations reports to the SVP, Global IT Operations and has overall responsibility for Hasbro’s IT operations including hardware & software services, client services, 24x7 operations, global network & telecom, data center operations, disaster recovery & business continuity coordination. You will have direct responsibility for the Americas IT Operations team while establishing global standards and working with the Europe and Asia-Pacific IT Directors to ensure global compliance and collaboration. You will manage a team of approximately 65 individuals (permanent employee, contingent worker, and staff augmentation), under 4 direct reports, with a $50MM budget.
The successful candidate must possess knowledge in the areas of IT operations, IT Information Library (ITIL), disaster recovery/business continuity, IT budgeting/vendor management, offshore staff augmentation services, software licensing and vendor management. This position will have strong interactions with other areas of IT as well as the business, especially as related to customer service, scheduled maintenance, downtime communications, and incident management.
A day in the life as a Sr. Director, IT Operations:
• Providing Great IT: Monitor and manage Hasbro’s corporate technology infrastructure and global network, ensuring availability and uptime in accordance with established service level goals. Provide excellent help desk and client support services. Evaluate the current enterprise infrastructure footprint and develop a plan to address current issues, needs and strategic drivers. Define the metrics to measure progress and provide accountability.
• Demonstrated SD-WAN network experience redesigning and optimizing a WAN for 65+ locations
• Implement hi-availability cloud PBX solution for 65+ locations and call center with an expectation of zero downtime and a high quality of service.
• Establish Strategic Infrastructure Capabilities Roadmap: In collaboration with all other IT groups including Enterprise Architecture, along with critical business partners, develop a capabilities Roadmap and blueprint, executing the roadmap with perceptible business value.
• Develop effective working relationships and collaboration across the organization.Serve as a thought leader and trusted business partner. Develop close working relationships with key partners through written, verbal and face to face meetings. Key relationships include; Application/Development teams, PMO leadership, Digital leadership, Security leadership and vendor community.
• Drive innovation and new technologies. Proactively identify opportunities to exploit IT systems to better meet business needs.
• Infrastructure & Operations Platform Recommendations: Makes strategic platform business recommendations to the executive team including new features, new technologies, cost saving strategies, process improvements and resource planning.
• Manage associated budget. Execute in accordance with company procurement, budget and forecasting policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader and mentor, developing subordinates and peers (both internal & external), ensuring operational excellence within the organization. Ensure there is a succession plan in place.
What you'll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent. Computer Sciences degree preferred. MBA or other graduate degree a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of IT experience. Life sciences industry experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in a technologically challenging environment.
• Strong leadership and technical skills in Infrastructure and Operations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills are required. Tasks include writing technical policies and business oriented strategy documents – both intended for global audiences.
• Excellent presentation skills. Will need the ability to present technical-based material to senior level executives.
• Proven knowledge of IT demand management and governance.
• Possess a high technical aptitude.
• Possess demonstrated operational experience with ITIL framework.
• Must have a sense of urgency in meeting project and task deadlines and in resolving production issues.
• Demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter.
• Be an outstanding team player.
