LG Electronics is recruiting a Director of Marketing Communications for the B2B side of the business, to be located in Lincolnshire IL.The Director of Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the Development and implementation global marketing communications plans for the US market that drive the demand for company products. The Director is responsible for the overall management of the US B2B Corporate Marketing Communications Product Marketing department. Direct the development and execution of global marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, tradeshows, campaigns, social site presence, company website, public relations, internal communication, regulatory communications and corporate events.
This position will work in conjunction with other teams in B2B marketing, as well as channel and sales, to deliver effective integrated marketing communications campaigns.. Of paramount importance is the constant drive to utilize all marketing communication resources to help meet our sales targets.
The Director of Marketing Communications will manage a team of seasoned product and marketing communication professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage online strategy & execution for commercial display products across owned-Establish, own and drive a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects employees’ and customers’ understanding, engagement and commitment with the result of an even stronger connection to the company and leads to a return on investment.
• Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive advertising and public relations initiatives that will increase the organization’s image and brand position within the marketplace.
• Selects appropriate targeted messages and mediums to drive segment-specific behavior; collaborates across channels
• Acts as thought leader in shaping and positioning go-to-market strategies
• Manage brand delivery and consistency across all markets for all product lines.
• Create communications reporting/analytics dashboards and/or presentations for key stakeholders
• Actively lead, build and manage the MarCom/Content and Product Marketing team including to produce high quality publications and materials on time and within budget.
• Determine projects which should be completed internally and externally. Manage relationships with outside vendors as necessary.
• Oversee and directly manage external agency resources for social media programs, advertising and media placement including on-going planning, quality assurance, execution and reporting
• Ability to drive an overall project management process and to effectively manage deadlines and budgets
• Should have experience in creative development (Agency and internal staff) and be able to apply that knowledge to enhance the customer experience
• Responsibility to track & measure campaigns, based on appropriate metrics.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing communications in high tech and/or energy industry.
• Minimum of 5 years experience managing a marketing communications team
• Demonstrates creative and critical thinking skills
• Very detail oriented with a very strong analytical skills
• Professional and positive approach, self motivated, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative
• Solid negotiation, leadership, and professional presentation skills
• Open to learn new systems and a desire to improve processes
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required
• Korean language skills a plus
• Travel as needed, 10-25%
